"Good morning, what can I get started for you?" The man behind the counter spoke, his smile widening as he looked at Georgia.
"We will take two large coffees with a little cream and no sugar." Georgia spoke for them.
"Sure, I'll have that right up for you." The man responded typing in their order and taking Georgia's money.
"Let's go have a seat." Georgia spoke gesturing to the many opening tables. She allowed Rory to lead them to a table next to the window, giving them a clear view of what was happening around them.
They sat in silence until after the waiter delivered their coffees before Georgia spoke, "Now tell me what's going on."
"I don't know." Rory shrugged not sure what it was that Georgia wanted to hear.
"You said my brother hasn't been around."
"Not since the rogue fight, its like we went back to old times. I go to sleep before him and he's gone before I I wake up. If he even comes to bed."
Georgia looked furious causing Rory to flinch. "Why is he doing this to you?" She asked out loud. It was when Rory realized that it wasn't her that Georgia was upset with, it was her brother.
"I'm not sure, things haven't been the same since the fight and I got hurt. Its why I've been asking Peter to teach me self defense."
"Peter? Why Peter?"
"I don't know, he's nice to me. He's my friend, I think."
"Are you developing feelings for him?" Georgia asked eyes wide.
"What! NO!" Rory gasped. "It's not like that. He's-it's- I don't know, its like a brotherly relationship."
"A brotherly relationship?"
"Yeah, I just I don't know. I can't explain it."
"Hmm," she said rubbing her chin in thought. "Did my brother say anything to you? I just don't understand why he would become so distant. He's been so happy to have found you."
"I don't know, Georgia. I really don't."
They finished their drinks in a comfortable chat.
"Did you want to go to the grocery store get some ingredients?" Georgia asked.
"Sure."
"Maybe we could go to the mall too!" Georgia suggested a smile on her face.
"I guess." Rory nodded, not quiet as excited about going. But she saw how excited Georgia was about it and she desperately needed some girl time.
------------
"I'm serious Georgia, this is a surprise."
"Of course." She nodded still shocked her brother was building his mate a house. She was honestly surprised he was able to keep it a secret for so long but with the distant location he probably had made sure no one was going to patrol in this area.
"I just can't believe it." She was at a loss as what to say.
"All I'm doing is the bare basics so she can help me design everything else."
"That's so sweet, Kole." Georgia gushed at her brother.
"Please stop." Kole said annoyed with his sisters over the top affection. "Just make sure you keep it between us."
"Of course." Georgia nodded.
Kole nodded at his sister before turning back to the structure. He hoped that his sister was going to be able to keep this secret. He hadn't been keeping his distance and working long days for nearly a month for her to blurt it out in a day.
"All I'm asking, is you try to be around a little more." Georgia said.
"I will, I'm hoping to be done with this by the end of the week." Kole nodded.
Three days had passed since she talked to her brother, and she was pleased to see that there had been some improvement. However, now that she knew what was going on, she knew how important it was for him to finish and show Rory.
