Kole couldn't help but notice how attractive he found this little spitfire in front of him. She was finally growing out of her shell.
"Fine." Kole said, glaring at the kid who caused them to have their first fight.
"Ian, come with me. I can get you some new clothes and make you some lunch." Rory smiled to the young man who was shifting awkwardly on his feet. She grabbed his wrist, and pulled him along with her, leaving Kole standing there dumbfounded.
______
It was silent as they returned to the pack house, and Rory gathered clothes of Kole's, and sent Ian to the shower in the spare bedroom, before beginning fixing it up for the young boy. Kole didn't let the kid out of his sight when he was alone with his mate. Kole watched as she mothered the kid made him food and Kole wouldn't admit it but he was jealous of the punk kid.
"I would be terrified of you too, If you were glaring holes into my head." Georgia spoke a soft smile on her face as she watched her brother watch as his mate cared for the fourteen year old.
"He should be." Kole growled.
"Don't be so jealous." Georgia said. "Don't you understand what's happening?"
"What are you babbling about?" Kole demanded rolling his eyes, but not taking them off of the kid.
"Her fox is starting to grow into taking the Luna position."
Kole's eyes snapped over to her.
__
Rory moved around the kitchen with practice ease, making a him a filling meal to fill his hungry stomach. She had noticed the marks on his coat when he was in his wolf form, and judging by the scar on his back, this kid needed someone to care for him.
"Thank you." Ian spoke, taking the plate of food from her.
"Of course." Rory nodded, smiling brightly before wrapping an arm around his shoulder to comfort him. Ian glanced over to the man that was leaning against the doorframe, growing uneasy as he glared at him, watching his every move.
"Ian, do you have anyone you need to contact?" Rory asked.
"No. My family wont care that I am gone."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive." He growled in uncontrolled anger only to look down embarrassed. "I'm sorry."
"It's ok." She smiled.
"Watch yourself pup." Kole warned taking a step further inside the kitchen.
"Kole." Rory said with a slight glare.
The day went on with Rory taking care of Ian and making him a bedroom in the house. Kole left Peter in charge of watching over the duo, before going to work on the house. He needed to get them their own space.
"Does it ever get easier? Your nightmares?" Ian asked softly.
"Yeah, it does." Rory said with a smile. "Now, get some sleep. If you need anything you come and get me or get Georgia."
Kole backed away from the door, waiting for her to exit.
"Is he ok?" He asked.
"He's fine." Rory said before turning and make her way to their bedroom, Kole following her in silence.
==============
Two weeks later, Rory was sleeping only to be woke up by a smiling Kole.
"Kole? What are you doing?" She questioned glancing at the alarm clock only to groan when she saw it wasn't even 3 in the morning.
"I want to show you something." he beamed.
"It's 3 am, can't this wait until the sun is in the sky?" She questioned rolling over to her otherside..
"I want to show you what I have been working on all this time. The reason as to why I haven't been around as much." Kole pleaded. He knew he should have waited until she was actually awake, but he couldn't help but hope that showing her the house would fix the space that he had accidently put between them.
