"It's him!" Derick was astonished when he heard about Aiden's legendary stories. While he was on leave, he learned that Old Mr. Harper had come to Prime Hospital. It had already been announced that he was going to die, but a young doctor had managed to cure him.
Derick had never expected Aiden to be the legendary young doctor who had saved Old Mr. Harper's life.
"Are you joking? If we bring in doctors from an outside hospital and something goes wrong, who will take responsibility?" one of the doctors aggressively questioned the nurse.
The nurse explained logically, "But do we have any other options now? It's a person's life."
"I'll go ask the dean for instructions." After saying this, Derick immediately left the operating room.
As he walked out of the room, Dr. Lance noticed that Aiden was still standing in the same spot as before. He asked Aiden to change clothes with him, and he would seek the dean's approval for Aiden to be part of the surgical team.
"What's happening?" Aiden furrowed his brows and hurriedly followed Derick's footsteps.
As they walked towards the clothing room, they discussed Sally's condition. "The patient's vital signs are rapidly declining, even though we've already administered a shot of adrenaline."
In no time, they reached the changing room. Dr. Lance pointed to the scrubs and said, "Dr. Finnegan, please disinfect first."
Derick picked up the phone from the table.
"Mr. Nathan, this is Derick. The emergency department received a severely bleeding student. The patient's vital signs are rapidly deteriorating, and we have no other options."
The dean of Prime Hospital was preparing to rest at home when he received the call. "Dr. Lance, is there no other way? The patient is still so young, and we need a solution with a 100% success rate."
"Mr. Nathan, I have no other way, but there is a doctor here, Dr. Finnegan! I-I…"
Derrick's words were interrupted by Mr. Nathan. "Immediately let Dr. Finnegan into the operating room!"
"Yes. Dr. Finnegan is already changing clothes, and we will go in now," Derrick replied confidently.
Mr. Nathan continued, "You did the right thing. The patient's life always comes first, no matter the circumstances."
"I understand."
After hanging up the phone, Aiden had already changed his clothes, and they entered the operating room through the sterile passage. Meanwhile, Mr. Nathan hurriedly got dressed.
"Where are you going at this hour?" Miss Kirves asked.
He replied abruptly, "The emergency room received a critically ill patient, and I have to be there to oversee the surgery process."
With that declaration, he left the house.
On the other hand, Dolly and the other two stationed outside the emergency room were taken aback when they saw Aiden following behind Derick. Dolly was stunned for a moment and exclaimed, "Please do your best to save Sally. It was to save me that she ended up in this chronic state!"
"Dolly, don't worry too much for now. Aiden has already gone in with the other doctors. Everything will be fine!" Angelina hurriedly came to her side to comfort her.
In response to these words, a glimmer of belief shone in Dolly's eyes. "Aiden will be able to rescue Sally for sure. I believe in him."
While in the car, Mr. Nathan called Calian. "Mr. Kirves, Dr. Finnegan is at Prime Hospital now."
He then informed Calian about what had just happened.
Upon hearing this, Calian told him to reach the hospital as soon as possible, saying, "You go first. I'll be there soon. I'll fully cooperate with Aiden once I arrive."
"Alright, off you go."
When Aiden entered the emergency room, Sally's vital signs were nearly nonexistent. Witnessing the turn of events, he quickly inserted a breathing tube and withdrew three golden needles to monitor her heart rate. As soon as the golden needles touched her chest, the nearby heart monitor showed a sudden fluctuation. The doctor standing next to them was astonished by the miracle and began to read aloud the data on the monitors.
"The patient's heart rate is recovering!"
"The patient's blood pressure is rising!"
"It's incredible. The patient's vital signs are improving!"
Seeing that all the data was starting to stabilize, Aiden pointed to Sally's head.
The people around were confused by his gesture, but in the next moment, they began cheering.
