Nathan.
The bastard had been threatening her. Anger ran through me, my hand on the phone clenching as my eyes went red with rage. I had suspected something was wrong, but to see it in black and white, to see how he had manipulated her, pushed her—
Dominic must have seen my expression because he took the phone away from me. He read the screen.
"Fucking hell! That son of a bitch! Now I know why Raina did it," Dominic growled, his jaw clenched. "She didn't think she had any other choice."
I balled my fists, breathing heavily. Nathan was going to pay. I was going to make sure of it.
"I was right to have tracked her phone," I stated, my voice tight, unyielding.
Dominic's eyes met mine, his brows furrowed.
"You tracked her phone?"
I didn't respond, simply turned and headed away from him, already in high gear in my head.
Dominic caught me by the arm, halting my movement. "No," he growled, his tone sharpened with annoyance. "I'm sick of everyone doing whatever the hell they please. We need a plan."
I whirled to face him, my lips twisting into a sarcastic grin. "What makes you think I don't have one already?"
Dominic's cluelessness was expressed all over his face. "What plan?"
I huffed a hard breath, raking my hand through my hair. "The moment Raina realized that Faith had been abducted, I knew something was going to go down. You saw how devastated she was. You think she was just going to sit around and do nothing? The night I went to sleep in her room, I placed a tracker on her phone."
Dominic's eyes went dark, and he nodded slowly. He knew her as well as I did—Raina had a habit of running. This wasn’t the first time.
"But," I went on, "I didn't expect Nathan to send her a message himself. That was the only thing I didn't expect."
Dominic frowned, still trying to get his head around it. "So, does that mean you know where she is?"
Yes and no," I conceded. "Yes, because if we go fast enough, we can find her. No, because I do not know where. Someone else does." Dominic's scowl deepened. "What?
I leaned back against the dresser, arms crossed. "I didn't want Raina to know that I suspected her. I had to pretend not to know anything. If I'd reacted too quickly, she'd have caught on and Nathan would've too."
Dominic's face was narrowing. "And you didn't feel it was necessary to include me in on it?"
I snorted. "Was I going to tell a drunk Dominic?"
