My mind was racing as I headed back downstairs to confront Alex. I found him still on the phone, his expression twisted with anger as he spoke into it. "Don't get too full of yourself with me, Dom," he snarled. "The men are gone. I let the families out too early." His words hung in the air, a bitter taste, reminding us that our plan was disintegrating minute by minute.

I balled my fists and breathed deeply, attempting to calm the storm raging inside me. Every step, every misstep was a failure—a failure that endangered Raina, and by extension our whole family. With the weight on me at that moment, I knew one thing for certain: we could not wait. We had to devise a new plan, one that would remove my sister from there before Nathan could tighten his grip any further.

Faith broke our argument with a sudden, quiet announcement that sent chills through my body: "I know the way back."
