I could be happier that I wasn’t doing this alone.
We got to Kye’s place faster than I had expected and he didn’t waste any time. His hands were already on me before I could take a step inside, his mouth crushing against mine and stealing the air from my lungs. I knew just dinner was too good to be true.
My back hit the door as he whispered. “God, I missed making love with you.”
I shoved at his chest, trying to push him away. “You never made love to me,” I snapped, a frown marring my lips. “You made a whore out of me.”
His grin didn’t falter. “Then let me show you the difference tonight.”
Of course, I thought to myself as I scoffed. I opened my mouth, ready to lash out again, but he stepped back, smirking and pulled off his shirt. My heart stuttered. He wasn’t walking towards me, he was tying on an apron instead.
“What…?”
He winked. “I’m making dinner. Relax.”
Relaxing around you isn’t possible because you’re unpredictable, I wanted to say, Instead I stood there, confused, angry, embarrassed… and embarrassingly wet. Watching him in the kitchen felt like watching something forbidden. He moved like he was used to being looked at. Every stir, every toss of his head, the way his muscle flexed under the heat. He definitely knows what he’s doing to me.
And I hated him for it. Or maybe I hated myself for responding. Hated myself from imagining what he would do to me.
I always want to fuck him, I admitted to myself, although it wasn’t something sensible. If only he didn’t have to blackmail me to.
When he was done cooking and he turned to serve the food, he smirked. “Bet you’re dripping wet just watching me, huh?”
I nearly dropped the bottle I was holding.
“Shut up,” I snapped, face flushed. But he only laughed and handed me a plate as I sat down.
Shockingly, the food was good. Not restaurant food, but real food… it was warm and seasoned and weirdly comforting. He was staring at me and somehow, the intensity of his stare was enough to heat up my skin, making wetness pool at my core.
I moaned without realizing it and Kye’s eyes darkened almost immediately.
