A Female Alpha’s Revenge (Adelaide) novel Chapter 633

Chapter 633

Third Person’s POV

The little girl wasn’t shy at all. When she saw Paisley, who was wearing red, hold out her hands, the child reached right out for a hug.

She seemed a little scared of Adelaide, though, probably because Adelaide looked pretty

serious.

Adelaide asked the nanny, What’s her name?

The nanny hesitated. She’s called Pledge. As for a last name, that’s complicated now.

In other words, the child was most likely named Pledge Wall before.

Paisley’s expression instantly turned grim.

The name Pledgeliterally meant an eternal promise.”

She wondered if Stanley had given the child that name as an eternal promise to Julia or a pledge to always protect his daughter.

Either way, if Luna Hespere heard that name, she would be devastated.

What had Hespere done wrong?

For years, she had managed the pack’s internal and external affairs, keeping everything in perfect order.

She was also a genuinely kind person who constantly did charity work, distributing food and medicine to the poor, and often praying at the church.

She had even agreed early on for Stanley to have breeders to ensure the pack’s lineage.

She was never a cruel Luna; otherwise, she wouldn’t have allowed all four breeders to have children and be well cared for.

In that moment, both Adelaide and Paisley felt a knot in their stomachs.

Pledge, we’re going to a new place to live. Do you want to come with me?Paisley suppressed her complex emotions and gently asked the little girl in her arms.

The oneyearold couldn’t talk much, only constantly muttering Mommy.

Paisley smiled and answered, Okay, let’s go find your mommy.”

She and Adelaide exchanged a heavy look.

Even at the shelter, the child would have to be with the director or another caregiver. She couldn’t stay with Julia.

The nanny found a baby carrier and helped Paisley put the child on her back.

The nanny didn’t come along, and Pledge cried for a while because of it.

After soothing the child, Paisley finally walked out, leading her horse.

Just outside the Wall family’s suburban villa, they saw a car parked.

Adelaide glanced at the Styxwarden crest on the car.

She paused. Was it Stanley, Heath, or someone else?

Paisley saw the car too. She stopped her horse and gently patted Pledge’s bottom to keep her from wiggling.

After a moment, the car window rolled down, revealing the face of a wornlooking woman.

She was dressed in a stoneblue silk dress, and her eyes were red.

She looked at Adelaide and Paisley, her lips moving, but no words came out.

An omega was sitting next to her, gently holding her shoulder, seemingly trying to comfort her.

Adelaide recognized the womanit was Luna Hespere, Stanley’s mate. Her heart sank.

Clearly, Luna Hespere wasn’t there to make trouble for the child, or she wouldn’t have brought only one omega.

Stanley’s earlier claim that everything at home is finewas obviously a lie.

He treated his mate like an easy fool, but Hespere, who managed such a large pack so well, was far from naive.

She just chose to show her softer side only to her husband.

Adelaide didn’t walk over, and Luna Hespere didn’t approach either. They just looked at each

other for a moment.

Adelaide was ready to leave, wanting to avoid

any

drama.

Please wait,” Luna Hespere finally called out.

The driver opened the car door, and she took the omega’s arm to step out.
