A Reborn Bride Pearl Emerging from Dust novel Chapter 888

Lately, Blythe and Oliver hadn’t bothered her at all—Calliope was almost starting to forget they existed.

She’d asked someone to look into Jett and his wife, just to see if there was any chance they might be related by blood. So far, though, she hadn’t heard anything definite.

Still, whenever she looked at them, she couldn’t help but feel a strange mix of emotions.

Mrs. White, in particular, looked so much like her.

Calliope found herself staring at Jett and his wife from across the room.

Maybe she was being too obvious, just openly watching them, because it didn’t take long for them to notice—and look right back at her.

Their eyes met for a second.

She didn’t know what their deal was. All she really knew was that they were Blythe’s adoptive parents.

As for whether they were actually related to her somehow? That was a whole different mystery.

She kept her expression neutral as they started walking directly toward her.

She was caught off guard as they stopped a few feet away.

“Excuse me, miss,” Jett said, pausing in front of her with a thoughtful look. “Were you just looking at us?”

Calliope nodded. “Yeah, I was.”

“Is there something we can help you with?” he asked, a little puzzled. “Did my wife or I do something wrong? You seemed to be watching us pretty intently.”

He sounded genuinely curious.

Mrs. White’s smile warmed. “You’re quite lovely yourself, dear.”

Just then, Blythe’s voice rang out. “Mom! Dad!” she called, running over and throwing her arms around Jett.

Chapter 888 2

“Blythe!” Mrs. White ruffled Blythe’s hair, her eyes full of affection. “What’s up, sweetheart? Weren’t you playing with your friends?”

“I was! But I wanted to hang out with you and Dad too!” Blythe said, pouting just a little. “I can’t just ignore you two!”

“Silly girl,” Mrs. White chuckled. “You go have fun. Don’t worry about us—your dad and I can keep ourselves entertained.”
