Abandoned Luna Now Untouchable (Cecilia) novel Chapter 4

Cecilia

At 11:40 a.m.

My silhouette appeared in front of the Grimm family mansion, the territory of the Blood Moon Clan. The scent of pine and earth burrowed into my nostrils, uncomfortably familiar.

This had been a second home, and now every visit made me feel as if I had been there. The pack’s werewolf steward’s pupils contracted violently when he saw me at the door.

“Lu,Luna Cecilia.” He stammered out, his eyes rolling uneasily. Apparently he knew he had a visitor today, but didn’t think it would be me.Cold sweat was already seeping down his front.

In the social circle of the wolves, our registered marriage in the human world was like an unseen secret.

The marriage certificate was carefully tucked away, as if it were some kind of unseemly handle, known only to both parents, Beta Henry and a few inner circle members.

In the world of the wolves, one is never truly accepted without a formal mate ceremony. For the past eight years, I’ve been nothing more than an anomaly, a barely tolerated human woman. Every time I attended a wolf gathering, the looks with contempt reminded me: you’re just an outsider, an outsider who could be discarded at any time.

“Please… Come with me.” The butler came over with a difficult face, as if he was about to execute some kind of torture.

Before we could reach the living room foyer, a sweet to snorting flirtation pierced the air: “I win again! Xavier, are you letting me off the hook?”

My footsteps froze in an instant. My brain went blank for three seconds before all the clues connected to the brutal truth. This is the reason why he canceled the weekend date – the so-called “business trip to Hong Kong”. “Heh.” A cold laugh uncontrollably spilled out of the corner of my lips as I continued to walk forward.

Xavier’s pupils plummeted seismically when he looked up and saw me, “What are you doing here?” Questioning tone sharp as a knife. “Your mother invited.” I laughed coldly, a sneer overflowing in the bottom of my eyes, “That’s funny, shouldn’t you be in Hong Kong right now? When did you awaken your instantaneous movement superpower?” His eyelashes fluttered rapidly – a guilty micro-expression I was familiar with after our years together.

The Shadow Pack she-wolf on the couch – Cici White – deliberately wiggled her way over to reach out.

The room is filled with the scent of her mingling with Xavier, and the nausea makes my stomach twitch. “Hi~ I’m Cici!” She grimaced with a fake smile and showed her teeth, signaling her provocation to me.

I didn’t even look at the outstretched hand. In the pack hierarchy, even as a human, I’m still nominally the Luna of the Shadow Pack – albeit an empty title.

There was no need to lower myself to take her provocation. Dora Green, The Blood Moon Pack’ elder Luna, appeared at the door at the right time.

She gave Cici an affectionate, close-faced salute before sweeping me over with trashy eyes: “Did you have a good time dear? Just make yourself at home here~” her voice to Cici was sweet enough to drip honey.

I stopped. Twenty days, I silently calculated in my heart. There are still 20 days left to file the divorce papers. What are these last twenty days of humiliation?

“Okay, I’ll stay.” I turned to meet her eyes and sneered. I walked straight to the table and sat down in a remote position.

But Dora clearly wasn’t going to let me go so easily. She looked around proudly and suddenly said, “Since you are here, why don’t you use some residual heat and pour tea for everyone.” “

There was a few chuckles at the dinner table. I clenched my fists – that was what she was really doing to keep me for dinner, to humiliate me in front of everyone, to use me like a servant.

“Why, you don’t even want to do this?” She scoffed, “Humans are really unreliable, and they don’t even know the most basic etiquette.” “

I slowly stood up, picked up the teapot, and walked over to her with a smile on my face. To everyone’s astonishment, I poured hot tea over her well-groomed hair.

“I’m sorry, Luna Dora,” I said, putting down the teapot in a sweet voice, “my human hand just isn’t steady. Hope you are satisfied with this cup of ‘tea’? “

There was a dead silence in the restaurant, save for the sound of tea dripping down Dora’s stiff cheeks.
