After Knowing I Was Infertile My Husband Dumped Me novel Chapter 13

Winston stared at me in stunned silence, his brows furrowing deeply.

On the other hand, Kiara completely lost it.

“Bianca, who do you think you are? That heirloom ring was meant for my mother! What right do you have, a junior, to demand it? Using the company to blackmail Dad–what a joke! Keep dreaming!”

Winston remained silent, eyes fixed on the pen in his hand, fingers gripping it so tightly it looked like it might snap.

He finally broke the tension, his voice laced with frustration. “Enough! Stop shouting. The company is already on the brink, the villa has been sold–do you really want to be saddled with a mountain of debt?”

Then, without another word, he signed the divorce papers.

The moment I held the finalized divorce certificate, a weight lifted from my chest. For the first time in a long while, I could breathe freely “TII talk to your father about the ring,” he said, “I hope you’ll keep your end of the bargain.”

“Then let’s see you deliver first” I replied coolly.

With that. I took Denver’s hand and left without looking backl

I had only booked a week at the hotel here. I’d already sold all my properties in this city–except for one: the Reynolds family villa, the only place that still held both the precious and painful memories of my mother.

That ring once belonged to my mother–it was a cherished family heirloom passed down from my grandmother before she died.?

But because of Romina’s arrival, my father had become a thief for the first time in his life

He crafted a replica of the ring and, one night while my mother slept, secretly swapped them. The real one, he gave to Romina–just because she said she liked it.

Now, I would take back everything that belonged to my mother. One thing at a time.

The next day, my father called and asked me to meet him at the company

The same three employees who once spread lies about me were still there. More than half the office desks was heavy, suffocating with failure

In his office, my father wasted no time.

His voice was cold–no longer that of a father speaking to his daughter!!

snow sat empty. The air inside

“I never imagined you could be so calculating. All this for a ring? You threatened the company’s survival just to get your hands on it. Fine. You’ll get your ring. Now tell me–how are you going to save the company?”

*I’m not giving you money.” I replied calmly. “But I can provide new business partners. Whether or not the company can recover from this depends on your own competence. After all, there’s a big difference between a company full of freeloaders and one full of real talent.“2 I reached for the velvet box. As soon as I opened it, I recognized the ring immediately–it was a perfect match to the one I remembered. Still, just in case, I pulled out a small gemstone tester I’d brought along and scanned the ring for authenticity.

My father clenched his fists, trying hard to maintain his composure.

“Too many fakes out there,” I said with a shrug. “Better safe than sorry

“Do whatever you want, he muttered.

With the ring secured, Denver and I returned to San Francisco.

I mailed the business proposal files to Winston, fulfilling my part of the deal!!

No idea. But if he knows, that actually saves me a lot of trouble. We can skip Grandma’s house. That place has been abandoned for over twenty years–it’s probably collapsing by now anyway.”

“I can’t believe it,” my father bellowed. “You were just waiting to see me make a fool of myself, weren’t you? Let me sell the villa, then swoop in and buy it behind my back–are you proud of yourself? You tricked me! Made me dance in circles while you laughed from the shadows
