Tina jutted her chin. “So what if we are?”

Aria hefted the sugar–roasted chestnuts in her hand and grinned. “Give me the chestnuts. Think of it as hush money.”

“One bag’s not enough for me.”

Tina was fuming. Today was her birthday, and the sugar–roasted chestnuts from this shop were all she’d been craving. Shooting Aria a venomous glare, she snatched the bag from Willie’s hands and stormed toward her.
