In the afternoon, around three o’clock.
Lionel Yeager and his three companions arrived at Fragrance River Airport.
They walked out of the airport.
Lionel Yeager was thinking about calling Julie Stewart.
But after some thought, he decided not to.
He planned to give the woman a surprise.
"Prajna Bates, I haven’t seen Sister Betty for a while, and I want to buy her a gift. What do you say I should get her?"
Lionel Yeager asked.
After thinking for a moment, Prajna Bates replied, "Sister Betty lacks nothing, so I’m not sure what would be best to buy.
Why not just get her a bunch of roses?
As long as it’s from you, I think Sister Betty will be very happy."
"That’s right, although women think that giving flowers is commonplace, it depends on who’s giving them."
Bardon Bard also chimed in as if he knew all about it.
"Okay then."
Lionel Yeager nodded.
Afterward, Lionel Yeager and his group took a cab to Jone Hans Group.
On the way to Jone Hans Group, Lionel Yeager bought a bunch of roses at a flower shop.
More than twenty minutes later.
Lionel Yeager and his group arrived at the entrance to the Jone Hans Group building.
They got out of the car.
Lionel Yeager and his team headed straight toward the building.
"May I ask what you’re here for?"
Several security guards at the door approached.
Lionel Yeager said, "I’m looking for your President of Jone Hans Group, Julie Stewart."
"Here we go again."
"The charm of President Stewart is just immense, she has so many admirers coming here every day."
"However, this kid looks quite ordinary, I doubt he stands a chance."
The security guards chattered amongst themselves, looking at Lionel Yeager with eyes full of sympathy and pity.
Lionel Yeager, curious, asked, "Are there really that many people pursuing your President?"
A round-faced security guard replied, "More than many, the people who have come for President Stewart recently could line up from the South District to the North District."
Lionel Yeager responded with a smile, "Seems like your President is quite popular."
Puffing with pride, the round-faced security guard boasted, "Of course, President Stewart is renowned as the number one beauty in Fragrance River!"
A square-faced security guard looked Lionel Yeager up and down, shook his head and said, "Kid, you really don’t stand a chance.
So, my advice to you is to give up and not waste any more time."
Lionel Yeager grinned and said, "How would I know without trying?
Maybe your President will like someone like me."
Lily Tisdale, Bardon Bard, and Prajna Bates, standing nearby, tried their best to hold back their laughter.
"Brother, good luck to you then."
The square-faced security guard patted Lionel Yeager’s shoulder and then pointed at the seating area, "You can wait over there in the lounge area."
"Okay!"
Lionel Yeager agreed and then entered the hall with Lily Tisdale and the others.
Upon entering the hall,
Lionel Yeager was instantly astonished.
There were several rows of people sitting in the resting area, totaling more than twenty individuals.
These people ranged from young to middle-aged, varying in height and size, either holding roses or gift boxes.
"My goodness!"
Bardon Bard let out a chuckle, "Is this a casting call or what?"
Prajna Bates clicked his tongue, "Sister Betty is just too popular; the rest area is nearly full."
Lionel Yeager inwardly sighed with relief, thankful that he had already secured Sister Betty’s affection early on.
Otherwise, the competition would indeed be fierce.
Soon, Lionel Yeager found a spot in the rest area with Lily Tisdale and the others and sat down.
At this moment,
a plump man dressed in a neat suit with a slicked-back hairstyle moved closer, smiled, and inquired, "Dude, are you also here to pursue President Stewart?"
"Uh... Yes."
Lionel Yeager nodded.
The plump man flaunted his Vacheron Constantin watch and boasted, "My family runs a foreign trade business.
I have just taken over the position of Chairman from my father. My total assets are just a few billion.
By the way, what about you, what do you do?"
"Me?"
Lionel Yeager hesitated before turning to Bardon Bard and the others, asking, "What do I do?"
To tell the truth, he was stumped by the plump man’s question.
Having done a bit of everything, he wasn’t exactly clear on what his job was.
Lily Tisdale, Bardon Bard, and Prajna Bates were all equally bewildered.
Bardon Bard scratched his bald head, "Yeah, what exactly does Brother Yeager do?"
Prajna Bates suggested, "Brother Yeager, aren’t you a doctor?"
