After leaving the office, Lionel Yeager and Sunny Tolkien took the elevator to the underground parking lot.

“Assistant Yeager, you’ll drive.”

Sunny handed the keys to Lionel.

“Um…”

Lionel awkwardly smiled, “I can’t drive.”

“What?”

Sunny stared at Lionel in disbelief, “How can an assistant not know how to drive?”

Lionel shrugged, “But I really can’t.”

“Fine, I’ll drive.”

Sunny shook her head and sat in the driver’s seat.

Lionel, on the other hand, comfortably sat in the passenger seat.

The car started and they left the underground parking lot, heading towards World Trading.

Along the way, Sunny asked various questions about company management, trying to test Lionel.

However, Lionel was clueless about company management and operations.

Sunny wondered why President Stewart hired such a person as an assistant.

Could it be that this guy is President Stewart’s boy toy?

But she didn’t ask more.

It’s taboo for subordinates to inquire about their boss’s private matters in the workplace.

In the following time, Sunny didn’t continue talking to Lionel.

In her eyes, Lionel was merely a decorative pillow with no real ability.

About twenty minutes later, the car arrived at an office building in the City Center.

After parking the car, Lionel followed Sunny to the building.

On the way, Sunny reminded, “Assistant Yeager, I’ll handle the negotiation with Director Lee later.

Just sit and listen, and don’t interrupt.”

“Oh.”

Lionel nodded, not saying much.

When they entered the office building, they approached the front desk.

The receptionist smiled and asked, “What can I help you with?”

Sunny said, “I’m Assistant Tolkien from East Beauty Pharmaceuticals, could you please contact Director Lee from World Trading?

I have something to discuss with him.”

“Understood.”

The receptionist nodded and then made a phone call.

Soon, the receptionist hung up the phone, saying, “Please wait a moment.”

After a short wait.

A woman wearing a light coffee-colored professional suit and with an attractive figure approached them.

The woman extended her hand to Sunny with a smile, “Assistant Tolkien, Director Lee is expecting you.”

Then, guided by the woman, Lionel and Sunny took the elevator to the sixteenth floor of World Trading.

They entered the company and walked straight to the General Manager’s Office.

The woman knocked on the door, saying, “Director Lee, Assistant Tolkien is here.”

“Come in.”

A male voice came from inside.

As they opened the door, they saw a middle-aged man in a white shirt, with a slicked back hair and slightly overweight body, reviewing a document.

This middle-aged man was Sawyer Lee, the general manager of World Trading.

Upon seeing Sunny, Sawyer warmly greeted her.

“Assistant Tolkien, what brings you to my company today?”

Sunny replied, “Director Lee, we do have something to discuss with you.”

“And who is this?”

Sawyer looked at Lionel.

Sunny introduced, “This is Lionel Yeager, President Stewart’s new assistant.” 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

“Oh, nice to meet you, Assistant Yeager.

I’m Sawyer Lee, the general manager of World Trading.”

Sawyer greeted Lionel with a smile, reaching out his hand.

However, in the instant Lionel shook Sawyer’s hand, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Legal proceedings would only hurt our relationship.

How about this, you go back and tell President Stewart, give me one more month.

One month later, I’ll pay you back immediately, all right?”

Sunny was about to speak, but Lionel who had been sitting beside her in silence suddenly chimed in, “Director Lee, we can wait for one month, but can you really afford to wait?”

“Assistant Yeager, what do you mean?”

Sawyer asked with a puzzled expression.

Sunny also looked at Lionel, not understanding his intention.

Lionel sighed, “Director Lee, you have an undiagnosed condition that will kill you in less than a month, yet you want us to wait a month.

By then, who’s going to pay us after you’re gone?”

Before his voice fell!

Sawyer slapped the table, angrily saying, “Assistant Yeager, what the hell do you mean?

Is it just because I didn’t pay yet?

Why are you cursing me?”

“Assistant Yeager, please don’t say anymore!”

Sunny was also startled and quickly stopped him.

Why did Lionel curse that man?

Lionel shrugged, “Director Lee, I’m not joking.

What I said is true.

You’re really dying.”

“You…”

Sawyer was so angry that his chest heaved, pointing outside, “Get out!”

“Director Lee, calm down!

It’s his first day in the company and he doesn’t know any better!”

Sunny quickly tried to pacify, then yelled at Lionel, “Assistant Yeager, you’re not needed here, get out!”

Lionel narrowed his eyes, looking at Sawyer, “Director Lee, do you really want me to leave?

If I leave, no one will be able to save you.”
