As far as the eye could see, the entire hall was spacious and bright.
Before them stood a gold Buddha statue several meters tall, radiating an aura of power without anger.
In front of the Buddha statue, a bronze incense burner was set, the thin wafts of smoke providing a sense of tranquility.
On the walls were mural paintings of various Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats.
A spiral staircase extended upwards, leading to each of the nine floors.
Each floor was lined with massive bookshelves.
These shelves were filled with a variety of ancient books on Buddhist teachings, martial arts, and medicinal recipes.
After all, this was the first time Lionel Yeager, Lily Tisdale, and Prajna Bates had entered the Scripture Storage Pavilion of Forest, so they couldn’t help but be awestruck by the sight before them.
At this moment, the soft rustle of sweeping could be heard in the distance.
The four of them looked up to see an old monk not far away wielding a long broom, sweeping the ground.
The Old Monk was thin and wore a light gray monk’s robe, with his eyebrows and beard flecked with white hairs.
Despite his seeming age, this Old Monk exuded incredible vitality and had sharp eyes.
This Old Monk was the eminent sage who had saved Bardon Bard by striking Louis Corcoran, Kevin Franklin, and Sam Lee away with a single palm strike three days ago.
He was also Bardon Bard’s master, Master Logan Trevino.
"Master, your disciple has come to visit you!"
Tears welled up in Bardon Bard’s eyes as he dropped to his knees.
Master Logan Trevino sighed gently, then waved the broom in his hand.
In an instant!
A powerful gust of wind swept towards the entrance!
With a loud "clang"!
Both large doors slammed shut!
Master Logan Trevino spoke calmly, "Benefactors, please join me upstairs."
As he spoke, Master Logan Trevino set down the broom and walked towards the upper level.
Lionel Yeager and the others hurriedly followed suit.
Soon, the four of them had followed Master Logan Trevino to the ninth floor of the Scripture Storage Pavilion.
The ninth floor was spacious and well-lit, and through the several enormous open windows, the undulating Mountains and Rivers, lush jungles, and winding rivers could be seen, opening their hearts and minds.
Next to one of the windows was a low table with a set of coffee utensils placed on top.
A coffee pot rested on a small furnace, the water within boiling and giving off "gurgling" sounds, tendrils of steam rising from the pot.
Next to the low table were five cushions.
Seeing all this, Lionel Yeager was slightly taken aback.
Clearly, Master Logan Trevino had known they were coming and had prepared all this, waiting for their arrival.
Walking to the table, Master Logan Trevino raised his hand, "Benefactors, please have a seat."
After the four of them were seated,
Master Logan Trevino poured a cup of coffee for each of them.
"Thank you, Master!"
Lionel Yeager expressed his thanks and then took a sip of coffee.
He may not have had much interest in the other members of Forest, but he certainly held great respect for the Old Monk before him.
Firstly, the Old Monk was Bardon Bard’s master.
Secondly, despite his immense capabilities, the Old Monk remained unassuming and content to be a sweeping monk in the Scripture Storage Pavilion.
With a benevolent expression, Master Logan Trevino looked at Bardon Bard and asked, "Bardon, have your injuries improved?"
With hands pressed together, Bardon Bard respectfully replied, "Thank you for your concern, Master. My injuries have indeed gotten much better."
"That’s good."
Master Logan Trevino nodded in approval.
Setting down his cup, Lionel Yeager looked at Master Logan Trevino and asked, "Master, you must have known that we were coming to Forest, right?
And, you must be aware of my altercation with the Forest Sect Leader just now, aren’t you?"
"This humble monk is naturally aware."
Master Logan Trevino replied.
Master Logan Trevino slowly said, "As for the secret hidden within Bardon Bard, I actually only know half of it.
