Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1329

Chapter 1329: Terms

In the Willhall, a challenge between gods was handled differently than in the outside world.

The process was almost identical, but the rules differed. The moment a challenge was accepted, a black hole would form between the two gods, and they’d get drawn into an expansive coliseum like space.

Then, a loud chime would resound across the entire Willhall, signifying to the other gods that a battle was about to take place.

All anyone who wished to watch had to do was make contact with the black hole using their wills.

In the Willhall, battles happened like clockwork. Factions or not, thrusting prideful and egotistical beings into the same environment was destined to breed conflict.

During his short stay here, Atticus had heard the chime ring multiple times.

Because of how common it was, the other gods usually ignored the battle announcements, unless it was a high stakes fight between two elite gods.

The Redflame god accepted Atticus’ challenge, and the black hole appeared. They were sucked in.

The instant the chime rang, the word spread across the factions like wildfire. Other faction members who had deemed it useless to attend class were informed through their wills, and they surged towards the classroom the next moment.

It was a battle most of them had been anticipating all day. They had wanted to witness the power of the one the Redflame faction had issued a Burning to.

What the hell did he do to step on their toes when he’d only just arrived in the middle planes?

And from the words that spread, the impossible god he had dared to challenge... It was a fight neither of them wanted to miss.

Kale Gladeflame was having one of the best days of his life. He could be said to have been born with a golden spoon, being born as the second son of a Viscount.

A Viscount had a major world under their belt. It was the next stage after Baron, which was a title Kale himself held, but they could not be compared.

It was a known fact that a Baron needed to absorb at least fifty worlds of its initial size to become a Viscount.

The trillions of citizens, the army they had at their disposal, the difference between both ranks was as vast as heaven and earth.

Regardless, in a world like the middle planes, one had to make a name for themselves. People birthed children to use as tools, and Kale couldn’t deny that it was his current situation, but the centuries spent living in the middle plane, he had learned to live with it.

He had joined the Verge wide competition, killed a god and gained a world to build fame and prove himself to his father. And now, he had been given a chance to do just that.

The Burning had been issued by a Count, which meant a Viscount, his father, had also received it.

Words could not begin to describe the fame and opportunities he would receive if he were the one to take care of the enemy, whether he be a cockroach or not.

Meeting the Count wasn’t even out of reach!

Kale smiled as he took in the massive crowd that had gathered for the battle.

’A great audience.’ His eyes blazed. He couldn’t hold back his excitement. The more people, the better.

’It’s a good thing I set that trap.’ He had simply done it to provoke a reaction from the child god.

’But to think he would be stupid enough to challenge me.’

It came as a bit of a shock to him that Atticus had managed to discover the source of the trap, but he simply shrugged it off.
