"Name?"
"Qiao Sang."
"Age?"
"17."
"Where were you on the 30th of last month and the 3rd of this month?"
"I was competing."
"What competition?"
"Zhongkong Region Competition."
"Zhongkong Region Competition?"
The questioning police officer raised his eyebrow, about to say something else when another officer hurried in and whispered a few words in his ear. The questioning officer looked surprised and glanced at Qiao Sang, then got up and left the interrogation room.
About a few dozen seconds later, the officer who had been questioning came back in, with a smile that could only be described as ingratiating, and said:
"Sorry, why didn’t you let us know you’re a student at the Imperial Beastmaster Academy? This was all a misunderstanding. We’ve confirmed you were competing in the Dragon Country recently, you’re free to go."
He stepped aside, "We’ve brought your Ghost Ring King over as well."
"Xun Xun!"
Little Treasure Hunter floated in from outside and dashed into his Beast Tamer’s arms, crying with a runny nose and tears.
The police officer felt a chill run through his scalp and quickly explained:
"We didn’t do anything, just asked a few questions."
Qiao Sang didn’t get up, calmly stroking Little Treasure Hunter’s head as she said:
"I cooperated and came with you just to understand the situation with the Ghost Ring King you had a bounty on—is it really that similar to mine?"
After getting off the plane, almost 80% of the people mistook it for another, while the remaining 20% were tourists unaware of the wanted notice. This was clearly more serious than she had imagined.
"Xun Xun!"
Little Treasure Hunter immediately lifted his head from his Beast Tamer’s arms and looked solemnly over.
The police officer glanced at Little Treasure Hunter, then raised his hand to operate the watch on his wrist. A virtual screen appeared out of nowhere.
On it appeared a bounty notice for the Ghost Ring King.
Its size was about a circle smaller than a typical Ghost Ring King, with gray skin, golden hair, eyes, and ring—looking exactly like Little Treasure Hunter.
There really is a Ghost Ring King in this world that looks so much like Little Treasure Hunter... Qiao Sang stared at the bounty notice on the virtual screen, dazed, finally understanding why, even though Little Treasure Hunter was a Variant Color Pet Beast, so many people got it wrong.
The police officer said with a fawning expression:
"The Ghost Ring King is not Eagle Country’s Pet Beast, it’s quite rare here, and it’s a Variant Color, so everyone thought your Ghost Ring King was the one with the bounty."
He looked at Little Treasure Hunter and laughed:
"Actually, when compared more closely, there are some differences. Your Ghost Ring King is a lot chubbier than the one that’s wanted."
"Xun Xun!"
Little Treasure Hunter showed a displeased expression, correcting him.
It’s not called chubby, it’s called big!
Qiao Sang got up to leave the interrogation room, then suddenly remembered something and turned to confirm:
"Is the bounty for that Ghost Ring King really a million?"
The officer froze for a moment, then nodded:
"Yes, a million Alliance Currency for capturing it and bringing it to the station, fifty thousand Alliance Currency for providing information."
"Got it." Qiao Sang said, and left the police station with Little Treasure Hunter under many chasing gazes.
At the entrance, she saw Teacher Mijia.
"How was it, did they finish questioning you?" Mijia asked, turning around upon hearing the noise.
Qiao Sang nodded.
"What do you think about this matter?" Mijia asked.
Qiao Sang asked in return:
"Did you let me follow them to the police station just to find out about the Ghost Ring King?"
If Teacher Mijia hadn’t suggested dropping by the police station, she could have found a thousand ways to leave the airport smoothly.
Mijia didn’t deny it, smiling as she said:
"Exactly, your Ghost Ring King is a Variant Color Pet Beast; it’s hard enough to find two identical ordinary Pet Beasts, let alone a Variant Color one, and besides, we’re in Eagle Country, not Dragon Country, so I’m really curious about that Ghost Ring King."
She looked over, "Aren’t you curious?"
Curious, very curious... Qiao Sang looked towards Teacher Mijia, remaining silent, which was an implicit agreement.
Mijia chuckled, handing over a stack of documents, "Here’s some information on that Ghost Ring King. Take a look."
Qiao Sang took it, and with surprise said:
"From the police department?"
Mijia nodded.
A S-rank Beast Tamer truly has presence, getting such detailed information so swiftly... Qiao Sang quickly browsed through, her eyes twitching at the actions listed for the Ghost Ring King.
