Groan
Lillian let out as her eyes slowly opened. They were a bit blurry and she felt a bit of headache.
She squinted a bit as a light hit her face, but as if it was blocked, it soon disappeared with the sound of something being pulled.
"You’re awake," the voice made her freeze, for a second, she thought that she was still in a dream.
"Hungry?"
The voice sounded a lot closer now and her eyes immediately snapped open. The first thing she saw was a pair of blue crystals...no eyes, ones that seemed so familiar.
"Ethan?"
She called out hesitantly, almost as if she couldn’t believe that he was right before her eyes.
Ethan gave her a smile as he extended his arm and moved the stray hair that rested on her face.
"Welcome back little Midas."
The response was all she needed as she moved from the bed to gripping his neck in a surprising show of agility.
Even Ethan had no chance to react before she crashed into him, sending them both to the floor, luckily, they weren’t far from it, so none of the two were hurt.
Ethan, a bit surprised at first, finally wrapped his arms around her letting her rest on him as he felt her trembling.
Lillian finally had the chance to let it all out and that was exactly what she did, silently on Ethan’s shoulders.
Yes, she had been acting brave and had fully believed that he would come for her, but deep down, she was scared.
There was always that, ’what if.’
What if he didn’t notice her accessing Sentinel’s decoy? What if he couldn’t find her in time? What Madam Xu actually decided to hurt her?
Those thoughts floated in her head constantly and they made her afraid. But now?
Right now, she was safe. She could feel it from the warmth of his hug, in his beating heart.
He had come for her and had successfully gotten her out of danger.
Slowly, she let go, noticing exactly how much tear stain she had left on his white shirt, but he didn’t seem to mind and she wasn’t going to pay mind to it.
She sat up straight, which, because of how they had fallen, happened to be on his stomach, so she was essentially straddling him.
Lillian kept her eyes on Ethan who was still silently gazing at her face without saying a word.
Usually, she would just blush and hurry off, but not today.
She went down again and before Ethan could react, she already had her lips pressed on his.
Well, that was a lie.
He had more than enough time to move away, or even stop the kiss if he wanted to, but he didn’t.
He let it happen.
Lillian poured her all into the kiss and soon, she was brave enough to use her tongue.
It started awkwardly, as she forced her tongue into his mouth, but Ethan slowly guided her with his.
They spent a breathless minute kissing before Lillian finally pulled back a bit, a single strand of saliva connecting their lips.
Lillian had a blush on her face as Ethan looked at her she tried moving back a bit only to rest her hand on something hard...
She immediately froze when she realized what it was, so frozen that she forgot to move her hand away.
Ethan let out a small chuckle as he watched her freeze when her hand rested on his boner.
It wasn’t pressed on it or anything, so he wasn’t feeling any pain, but it was going to be a problem if she continued resting her hand there, so he moved a bit which successfully helped reboot her brain.
"Let’s stop here," Ethan said as she looked back at him, "you must be hungry, I made—"
"No," she interrupted.
He had tried getting up but she placed both palms on his chest...well, it wasn’t like they kept him down or anything.
"....it" she murmured in a tone Ethan couldn’t quite catch, but judging from the furious blush on her face, he knew exactly what she just said.
"Hmm?" He pretended as if he didn’t hear or understand what she said which caused her to glare at him, only to look away the next second, a deeper blush on her face.
