Chapter151
Out of nowhere, a word popped into his head, alone in an empty room?
Maxwell pushed this ridiculous idea out of his mind.
He went to the study to take care of some things that piled up in the morning, and replied to Roxanne’s message.
When I looked up again, it was already afternoon.
He needed to go find Stephanie.
She just didn’t reply to messages, didn’t answer calls, and wasn’t in the wedding room.
How was I supposed to find her?
Next, a thought popped into his mind.
Stephanie was going to pick up that little girl called Belinda from kindergarten.
Thinking about it, he asked for the exact address of the kindergarten, and before school was over, he drove his Maybach to the kindergarten.
Maxwell just wanted to wait for Stephanie here, but he saw that quiet little girl sitting on the stone stool drawing first.
After thinking for a bit Maxwell walked over to the little girl and sat down on another stone stool.
Looked down at the picture she drew.
It was a kid’s doodle.

It showed a long–haired adult holding a kid’s hand.
At that moment, Belinda was scribbling the word “Mom” next to the long–haired woman.
Maxwell knew she was drawing her and Stephanie.
For some reason, Maxwell felt like there was one person missing in the painting.
When he looked up, he found the little girl was looking at him.
There was nothing but confusion in those big round eyes.
“Uncle, are you sitting here waiting for your kid?” Belinda asked in a crisp voice.
Uncle…
She called Stephanie mom, so she should call him dad.
Maxwell subconsciously wanted to correct her, but when he looked at the little girl’s clear big eyes, he just couldn’t say anything.
Stephanie never mentioned herself to her.
Forget it.
Maxwell thought about it and gave a gentle smile. He said, “I’m watching you draw.”
He paused for a moment and added, “It’s really well drawn.”
Belinda smiled sweetly. She pointed at the woman with long hair and said, “This is my mom, isn’t she pretty?”
“Yeah.” Maxwell nodded.

“I think so too.” Belinda looked at her drawing with a big smile and said, “My mom was the most beautiful person in the world!”
Maxwell was allected by her and smiled from the heart.
Indeed, Stephanie looked good, he knew.
“Uncle, can I ask for a favor?” Maxwell asked gently.
Belinda looked at him doubtfully.
“Can you draw me in too?” Maxwell pointed at the empty spot on the side and said, “Here, with you guys.”
Belinda held the painting and shook her head.
“Uncle, this is me and mom, I couldn’t put you in the picture.”
The corners of Maxwell’s mouth stiffened a bit.
“Be good, I’ll buy you some ice cream,” Maxwell coaxed Belinda.
But Belinda still shook her head.
“Mom said I couldn’t eat ice cream.” Belinda said seriously, “Not just no ice cream, Mom said I couldn’t just take other people’s stuff.”
Before Maxwell could say anything, Belinda went on, “Uncle, if you want to be in the picture, you have to find your kid and let your kid draw you in the picture.”
Looked all serious.
Belinda looked at him with a lot more wariness in her
eyes.
It felt like I was looking at a creepy old guy.
Maxwell was helpless.

The little girl in front of him just said a few childish words, and it already hurt him badly.
Maxwell almost couldn’t help telling Belinda who he was, but in the end he held back.
He came here today to talk to Stephanie about Jeremiah.
He didn’t want any extra trouble.
