"You can pretend that you're meeting your godfather and me. Weren’t you also nervous when you first met us?" Upon seeing Freya's nervous look, Heidi smiled." Look how natural you are now. You can even joke with us."
"It's because we live together and see each other all the time."
Heidi said with a grin, "Think of it this way. You usually have breakfast with the Australian prime minister and his wife, so why do you need to be nervous meeting the first lady of Country N? Country N is no match for Australia in many aspects."
Freya nodded in a daze. What Heidi said seemed to make sense.
"You just need to look poised." Heidi said gently, "When I was going to meet those ladies for the first time, I was so nervous that I didn't sleep the entire night. But on second thought, they might be nervous meeting me too since our identities are almost the same. No one’s identity is greater than the other, and there’s no need t o make things difficult for anyone just because of our identities. Everything should be fine as long as we do what we should."
"Godmom, I finally know who Ryan takes after. He takes after you," Freya said with a grin.
Ryan had a gentle, elegant aura that Heidi possessed. He could handle everything well regardless.
What made Freya admire Heidi more was that she was neither arrogant nor impetuous with her current status. She did not demonstrate her superiority over other people but treated everyone equally. Freya was very fortunate that she could be here interacting with Heidi.
"He does take after me.”
After thinking over it for a few seconds, Heidi nodded and smiled faintly. "Actually, I hope that he doesn't take after his dad. The Snow family... They're too stubborn."
That was Freya's first time hearing Heidi's comment on the Snow family, and it made Freya nervous.
"You don't need to be nervous. Your godfather is my husband, and the Snow family is my husband's family." Heidi sighed softly. "Old Master Snow hopes that the Snow family will stay prosperous, yet h e holds a patriarchal attitude. However, no family in the world can prosper forever. Since young, your godfather has been taught by Old Master Snow, so he's inevitably self-willed at times."
Heidi treated her so well, yet she lied to Heidi.
If Heidi found out the truth one day, would she be mad?
All of a sudden, it hit Freya that she could not bring herself to make Heidi sad and angry.
She was genuinely fond of her godmother.
After Freya got home, Heidi sent her the itinerary regarding tomorrow's charity event, as well as the list of guests.
The information was very detailed. Not only did it include the identities of the guests but also their hobbies and interests.
