Freya exchanged glances with Ryan before she nodded grimly.
After the two of them got out of the car, Freya walked in front with Ryan following behind her.
As soon as the door was opened, Mrs. Lynch walked over while carrying Dani. She said with a smile, "It turned out that you were having dinner with Ryan. I thought you went out on a date."
At the sight of Ryan, Dani's eyes lit up. She stretched out her hands to ask for a hug.
Ryan took Dani. He lifted her high and asked, "Did you miss me?"
Dani made some noise. As she smiled, her dimples were visible.
"Aww. She's very fond of you." Mrs. Lynch grinned. "Come in and have a seat.”
Mr. Lynch rose to his feet and offered Ryan to come in. "What brings you here today?”
"I have something to tell both of you."
Ryan, who was carrying Dani, sat on the couch and began to look solemn.
"What's the matter?" Mr. Lynch told the servant to prepare some coffee.
Ryan said, "I don’t think I’m out of Freya’s league just because she’s divorced. She’s a good person. So what if she was married? Many teenage girls have even lost their virginity. I'm not a conservative person. As for Dani, she’s my niece and can be counted as my daughter. Besides that, I’ve been watching her grow little by little. I’m very fond of her. I’ve long taken her as my biological daughter."
Coincidentally, the servant was serving him a cup of hot coffee.
Ryan took the cup and said, "Don’t focus on only Freya’s divorce. She has many plus points. At a young age, she managed to build a big brand and conducted successful research on different kinds of cosmetic and skincare products, not to mention her youth and beauty. Besides, she makes more money than I do. She's so excellent despite not having an advantageous background."
Mr. Lynch and Mrs. Lynch drew comfort from his words.
Who would like it if other people saw their daughter as a second-hand item?
