Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 537

Chapter 537

David heard footsteps behind him and looked at Rachel. “Hungry?”

“Is there anything I can help you with?” Rachel placed her hands on the table and watched as David handled the chicken drumstick skillfully.

David emphasized eating the food that provided necessary nutrients. It seemed that Rachel’s dinner tonight was chicken drumsticks and chicken soup.

David glanced at Rachel. Her collar was slightly loose, revealing her exquisite collarbones. Her long hair was tied up behind her head, revealing the fair skin on

her neck.

His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down as he looked away without batting an eyelid. “Go sit on the sofa. Be careful not to burn yourself.”

Rachel pouted as if she did not hear David. She turned around and pushed herself up with both hands before sitting down on the table.

“I can sit here too” She swung one leg nonchalantly and looked at David.

From her angle, she could see David’s clear jawline and exquisite facial contours. With such a face, it was no wonder that people would fall for him.

It was estimated that in Aureliana, David had attracted countless admirers.

Rachel casually picked up a small tomato from the vegetable basket and threw it into her mouth. She bit it and did not taste any sweetness. It was all sour.

The orange-red afterglow of the setting sun shone into the open kitchen through the bright and spacious floor-to-ceiling windows.

David stood in front of the table, working with methodical precision. Rachel placed her hands on the table and stared at him silently.

It was simple yet warm.

After the chicken soup was cooked, David scooped the soup out and cooked two vegetables.

“Wash your hands and come eat.” David looked at Rachel.

Rachel nodded and jumped down on one foot.

David reacted quickly and h**ked her waist. “How do you know emergency medical treatment?”

Upon hearing this, Rachel’s eyes flickered slightly. She replied casually, “I learned a little from Lucas in the army.”

Rachel replied indifferently and continued to walk towards the bathroom.

“By the way, I heard that the triennial fashion competition will be held in Seaxas this year. Do you want to participate?”

Facing Mary’s suggestion, Rachel did not show any emotion on her face. She said. calmly, “Not interested.”

When she first took on the role of designer, it was just for fun and as a hobby.

Hearing Rachel’s answer, Mary was a little disappointed but was not surprised.

After all, Rachel did not have much interest in fame and fortune.

“If there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up first,” said Rachel.

On the other end of the line, Mary smiled ambiguously. “I understand, I understand. A night of passion is worth a queen’s ransom.”

With that, she hung up without giving Rachel a chance to speak.
