Chapter 169: Chapter 169 Known...

Kelly’s POV

The familiar touch of his fingers. The familiar graze of his tongue. The affectionate gaze of his blue eyes. The gentleness of his voice. Everything about him makes me weak and strong at the same time. He makes me excited. He makes me nervous. He makes me feel pain. He makes me feel joy. I feel like without him, I cannot function well anymore.

I rolled on the right side of the bed and my eyes found a bare back of a man, sleeping peacefully beside me.

I could still feel his touch. The remnants of his fingers and kisses all over my body remained and I can’t help but to reminisce about what happened between us last night. How he confessed that he’s deeply in love with me. How he proposed and how he kissed me hungrily.

I pressed my lips together and slowly lifted my hand. The tip of my fingertips gently touched the skin of his shoulder. It was hardened from his muscles and it felt so warm. I want to touch him all day and night.

“You wanna make love again?” Pierce’s hoarse voice startled me.

Slowly, he lay on his back and turned to me. His eyes immediately found mine and I couldn’t help but stare at him nervously.

He proposed marriage to me last night. We made love. He told me he’s deeply in love with me. Everything about it is real right? I wasn’t dreaming, right?

My lips parted. I wanted to say anything but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I was still in awe. I still can’t forget what happened last night.

It was real, right? He did proposed to me. He forgave me and he gave me another chance. He wants us to start anew. Him, me and our children.

It makes me so happy. It makes my heart pound and hurt in so much happiness.

The corner of his lips slowly rose and it eventually showed an amused smirk.

“You’ve been in love with me for so long. How stupid was I not to notice it?”

I pursed my lips and protruded it afterwards. “I feel like you’re bragging.”

He chuckled and gently caressed my cheek, removing the strands of hair on my face.

I chuckled and playfully kicked his leg underneath the sheets. We’re still naked but I don’t mind.

“Those girls didn’t care about me when I was still a nerd. They only started bullying me when we got close.”

He smirked. “Well, they’re crushing on me at that time.”

I rolled my eyes. “You’re the reason behind my misery during school days...but you’re also the reason for my happiness.”

His lips curved into a sweet smile. “You are also my source of happiness, Kelly. When you left, I lost my will to smile again. My hopes and dreams shattered so I promised to myself that when you come back, I’ll do anything in my power to keep you safe and reassured that no matter what happens, my love for you will be known and you will learn how much I’m in love with you.”

I smiled at him. “You made it known and thank you for letting me know.”

“You won’t regret giving me another chance, Kelly. I’ll marry you in every church. I’ll love you in any way possible. You gave me your heart again, so I’ll take good care of it now. Not just a best friend and a husband, but a lover, a man in love with his other half.”
