Asher’s POV
I escorted Ivy to her room. I wasn’t joking about the contract clause that said we’d share a room, but I wanted to take things slow. As much as I longed for something different between us, I didn’t want to force her.
“So here we are,” I said, pausing dramatically before pushing open the double doors.
“A room befitting for my wife,” I said and bowed.
I didn’t need to turn to know that she was in awe because I had taken great care to ensure this room would evoke such a reaction from any woman.
She had an excited look in her eyes that I wanted to put permanently in my memory. Her lips curled into a cute smile. “This is lovely…”
She turned to me with that smile, and my heart jumped at it. I wasn’t prepared, but I did my best to maintain composure. “That’s not even the best part,” I told her.
“What are you talking about?”
“Let’s go check the closet.”
I led her to the door left adjacent to the bed, opened it, and turned on the lights, revealing another room.
“So I wanted to have my designer carefully pick out things for you, but I didn’t know your style yet.” I gave her a once–over. “I did carefully select a few lingerie pieces I like in your size.”
Her eyes widened in surprise. “In my size?”
My lips curled upward in a teasing smirk. “Yeah, I figured it out by staring long and hard…”
She averted her gaze. “That’s crazy, you’re crazy, Asher.”
“Only for my wife,” I replied. I pointed in the other direction. “Okay, now the shower is that way, and there’s also a bathtub in there in case you need a relaxing bath.”
“I think I might need one immediately,” she blurted out.
I shouldn’t have given her words any thought, yet I was thinking about it at that moment. Her naked, soaking in the tub, suds cascading down her wet body…
“Me too. So why don’t we draw one together? I’ll get the bath salts.”
She gave me the stink eye.
I chuckled. “So that concludes our tour of everywhere you need to know for now. We will go to the sex dungeon later.” I added the last bit in a hushed whisper.
“What did you say?”
“Oh, nothing. Did you hear anything?” I teased.
Her face was flushed. “You said something about a dungeon.”

Chapter 7
“No, I didn’t,” I denied.
“Yes, you did.”
“Okay, what did I say then?” I closed the space between us until we were millimeters from our bodies touching. I could feel my blood rushing, being this close to her, and I could see the look in her eyes–suggestive but shy.
“I thought I…” Ivy stuttered.
“It’s okay. You’re a bit tired, so why don’t you run that bath we talked about, okay? I’ll go get mine, and imagine you in your bath? Does that sound good?”
She shook her head. “Do you really have to make it sexual every time?”
I shook my head. “No, but it makes you blush, so yes. It’s a plan, then.” I gave her a kiss on her head and took in the flowery fragrance of her hair, lingering a bit before letting go and heading to have a shower.
I didn’t make it far into the hallway when I remembered that I didn’t show her around the bathroom, so I headed back to clear that up. Her doors were still open, so I walked right in.

As I walked into the room, I stumbled upon her undoing the zip of her dress. She had her back to me, those long luscious waves hiding her face from view. She wiggled out of the dress, and I watched it fall to the floor. Staring at her slender curves, her round ass in those white lace panties, made me stiff in the pants. In that moment of admiration and lust, Ivy turned and caught me staring and immediately reached out for her dress to cover herself.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to walk in like that.”
“What are you doing here?” she asked, horrified.
I looked up again, and I could see that her cheeks were flushed, making her even more beautiful.
“I just came back to show you how to use the shower. It’s kind of complex and where the other things are.”
“Well, turn around!” she shrieked.
“Okay, okay, I’m turning.” I raised my hands in surrender.
I could hear her struggling to put her dress back on, and my imagination of how she looked without the dress kept replaying in my head.
