Chapter 74
Asher’s POV
theld out a hand to her, “Are you ready?”
She grinned at me. “What’s this? Take your spouse to work day?” she teased.
Istriled at her as she slipped her hands into mine, and I shrugged. “Something like that.”
by was the one who had offered to follow me to the company today. I had woken up to breakfest already set at the table. It was a gesture that warmed my heart, but nothing compared to when she told me she would call in sick from work and follow me to the office.
Iled her through those glass doors, and as soon as we walked into the reception area, all eyes turned in our direction. Well, they were mostly looking at her. It wasn’t every day a hot model strode into work. And by God, she looked hot today.
She
wore a simple white dress that clung to her in all the right ways. It stopped mid–thigh and made her legs look longer. Her hair was tied up in a high ponytail. She had light makeup on and a simple piece of jewelry. It was minimal effort, and yet she looked the most beautiful.

I slipped my hands around her waist, pulling her close and taking a whiff of her alluring scent. I was a bit possessive; it was hard to believe that she was
mine in the true sense of it.
She glanced around. “They are all looking at us
I kissed her head. “Flower, I think it’s obvious they are looking at you,” I told her
She looked around in confusion. “Why?”
I turned around so I was facing her and took her hand in mine. “My best bet is they can’t believe how incredibly hot my wife is. I mean, I can’t either”
Her checks turned red. I pulled out my phone and clicked a few pictures of her. Her eyes widened like saucers. “What? Why?” she turned even redder, if
that was possible.
“Have you seen yourself this morning? No, wait, have you?” I said to her teasingly.
Her smile grew wider, and she averted her gaze. “Asher…
I pulled her close, slipped my hand around her waist, and sharply pressed my lips against hers right there at the reception area, ignoring all the people walking around. There was a faint clap, and then it grew louder and louder,
She pulled away and lowered her gaze, her eyes lit up as she blushed hard
“How else can I show you how beautiful you are?” I asked and took small bows at the excited employees.
“Definitely not kidding me when we have an audience?”
I took her hand in mine and led her towards the elevator. “How else would they know you’re truly mine?”
Her face lit up with her beautiful smile, confidence radiated off her as we walked arm in arm, as if she belonged to this world just as much as I did. Heads turned to stare at us. Conversations stilled as we volked past them. When we got to my office, we met Stacy. She stared at us for a moment, a wide smile
on her face. “Hello, hry, I’m Stacy.”
“Hi, Stacy” by greeted her warmly, flashing that smile of hers that had a way of softening even the hardest edges.
“hy Whitfield, it’s such an honor to meet you Stacy stammered, her usual professionalism utterly disarmed.
Isuppressed a grin, watching the mutual admiration unfold, by made everyone feel seen. It was one of the many reasons I adored her.

“You’re the talk of the office already,” I whispered, leaning close to her bar. She turned to me, her lips curving in amusement.
“thought you said your effice was boring?” the teased, her eyes sparkling
“Usually is. Apparently, you’re an exception.”
You two look great together, Stacy said with a smile.
We locked eyes, and I brought her hand to my lips and kissed it. “We do, don’t we
Her smile widened.
The thought of the blackmail crept into my mind like an uninvited guest. For days, fd wrestled with the idea of telling her, wondering if fonesty would set me free or destroy us. We were in a better place, and it hurt to think what would happen to us if I opened up to her.
