“Caitlin, I heard Quincy is in the hospital. We came to visit him!”

Sienna said flatly, with no emotion in her voice.

The two sisters were always cold and emotionless, like machines, giving no hint of warmth.

Caitlin, used to their demeanor, nodded and said, “Yes, Quincy is in the hospital. You can go visit him.”

She let the two of them enter the room, and since they were all familiar with each other, Faith stood up to greet them as well

“Sienna, Teresa!”

“No need to make a special trip to see me, I’m almost better now.” Quincy greeted them casually.

Sienna and Teresa visited Quincy, but Caitlin had other matters to attend to. She stepped out of the room and hadn’t gone far when Sienna and Teresa caught up to her.

“Caitlin, wait for us.”

“What’s going on?”

“Caitlin, the boss has asked us to stay by your side and keep you safe,” Teresa said.

“I understand, but I don’t need you to protect me right now. I can manage. Go back to help him. Isn’t he preparing for the company’s gala? He must be very busy.”

Caitlin smiled lightly and started to walk away.

When she turned her face, no one saw the smile fade from her face.

Since discovering that her daughter was still alive and had been used as a tool by Ximena for the past five years, Caitlin had become wary of Sienna and Teresa’s sudden appearance.,

Caitlin walked away decisively, and Sienna and Teresa exchanged a glance,

Sienna asked, “What should we do now? It seems like Caitlin is purposely avoiding us.”

“Yeah, I felt that too. Maybe we need to do something to make her trust us again.”

Teresa analyzed. The sisters began plotting how they could regain Caitlin’s trust.

After visiting Quincy, Caitlin went to check on Molly.

Molly’s condition had improved as well. She was talking much more clearly than a couple of days ago, and Eliza was taking good care of her in the hospital room.

Caitlin reached the door just as Simon was standing outside.

“Why aren’t you going in?”

Simon turned around, giving an awkward smile, “I was just passing by.”

“Is Molly still not remembering?”

“Yeah, she still doesn’t remember me.”

Molly’s memory was stuck two years ago, so to her, both Simon and Caitlin were strangers.

Even if she knew who they were, the feelings she once had for them were gone.

Especially Simon–having experienced her passionate pursuit, the coldness he felt now was the hardest thing to bear.

“It’s okay. People always start out as strangers. Do you remember when Molly first met you? She was so infatuated and kept asking me to introduce you to her.

“If you can’t accept her as she is now, then maybe now is the best time to treat her like a stranger and start fresh.”

“I understand.”

Simon gave a bitter smile. Someone had already left a mark on his heart that couldn’t be erased. How could he just forget it?

But Caitlin was right–he and Molly could start over.

Before, she had relentlessly pursued him, but now it was his turn to take the initiative.

“Let’s go, we’ll go in together.”

Caitlin invited Simon into the room, where Molly immediately greeted Caitlin.

“Caitlin, you came!”

“Molly, I came with my senior to see you. How are you feeling today?”

“Better, thanks to my mom’s good care.”

Eliza understood, “Dr. Smith, can you look after Molly for a bit? I need to grab something.”

Once they left, the room was left with only Simon and Molly, staring at each other.

Molly looked at Simon curiously, “Dr. Smith, why do you always look at me like that?”

“What do you mean, ‘that way‘?”

Simon sat beside her bed and leaned closer, asking, “Don’t you have anything you want to say to me?”

Molly knew that this doctor had given her a blood transfusion when she was hurt and had saved her life. A thank you was the least

she could do.

“Thank you for the blood transfusion. You saved my life.”

Simon Suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his embrace. “Didn’t you just say you’d offer yourself in return?”

Molly felt her scalp tingle, her eyes filled with terror. In her mind, Simon seemed no different from those creepy, perverted doctors.

Seeing the woman so frightened, Simon suddenly smiled, releasing her, “Then be my girlfriend.”
