"I want to become a great healer in the future. I want to follow my own legacy."
It had been years since then, and yet Darius had never forgotten how excited and carefree Xion looked when he proudly declared that.
Now, due to some people’s dirty ambitions, his darling had to stay away from directly treating the patients.
All he could do was instruct Allen and suggest the possible ways to treat the ailments.
So, yes. His Xion was the strongest person. Even stronger than him.
"Then," Xion leaned forward. "Can I learn how to fight from Ray?"
Ray? Darius narrowed his eyes before flicking Xion’s forehead. Never in this lifetime.
"What do you want to eat?"
The subject change was so blatant that Xion couldn’t help but chuckle. He knew Darius would never agree to put him in danger again. And honestly, he was just teasing him.
He was far too lazy to move like a bull every day. Such actions were only suitable for Noxian.
Darius didn’t have the sense of security, so he would try his best to be with him more, talk more and kiss him more often. Darius seems to like it when I kiss him.
With a smile so beautiful that it could bring the great Archduke to his knees, Xion said, "Whatever you think I’ll like is whatever I want."
Darius had to take a deep breath to stabilize his rising heartbeat.
If his Xion asked him to serve his heart on a plate, he would have done so.
But that was the thing. Xion never asked for anything. His darling was so well behaved, so obedient to the fault that sometimes Darius wished Xion would throw tantrums.
That this black-haired angel would get angry when he was pushed too far.
Darius was guilty of that. He had done so many things to Xion in bed. He had made Xion cry, had left him aching and covered in blotches of red and purple.
However, even then, Xion would very sweetly ask whether I was doing fine or if I was satisfied.
Darius would gladly bear that anger if it meant Xion wasn’t bottling everything up. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
More often than not, he had wanted to slaughter the entire Marquis family for what they forced his sweetheart to bear.
"I will ask them for their most famous dishes. Tell me if you want to add something."
"Alcohol!" Xion beamed, and Darius had no choice but to agree.
"Fine, but only two cups."
The kitten bobbed his head up and down, his black hair moving with his antics.
So cute. Darius mused.
As for Xion, well, he had never eaten anything beyond the carefully curated dishes made by the castle chefs. So, he was really curious about the taste of the cuisine.
One time, he had wandered into the kitchen only to freeze in shock. The layout reminded him of the kitchen he’d built in his old house back in Faymere.
Was it just a coincidence? Or something that he hadn’t noticed yet?
He didn’t dwell on it. The joy running through his veins was enough to smother any doubts about Darius keeping an eye on him during those four years.
The food arrived quickly. A whole roasted bird, which he assumed was chicken, along with the steaming bowls of soup, and stir-fried vegetables laced with plenty of chili.
