Reverse London, the Wandenreich.
After a long stretch of peace, Bazz-B, who had managed to stay alive, stepped through the gates of New Silbern.
Once sentenced to death for his defeat, he was somehow still alive—still a Sternritter, full of fire. Cang Du had been strong, sure, but within the Sternritter he was only average. Losing him wasn’t a big deal. Pernida’s death, on the other hand, had been a major blow. And since others had lost that day too, executing them all would’ve crippled the Sternritters.
Under those circumstances, Haschwalth spared Bazz-B’s life, arguing that internal strife should be avoided with a major enemy looming.
With Gerard’s death, Yhwach had lost a key powerhouse, and Bazz-B’s chances of survival increased as a result.
At first, Bazz-B’s submission to Yhwach had been purely practical—a compromise, endured with silent resentment. But after coming face-to-face with death during Gerard’s rampage, his fury toward Yhwach only deepened, boiling to the surface. He could barely contain it.
Once the final battle breaks out, he doesn’t know if he’ll resist the urge to join the Shinigami and give that brutal king a taste of his own "barbecue feast"!
That’s why he helped the remnants of Reverse London’s wizards deliver the message that could spell the Wandenreich’s downfall.
Every Quincy who passed him would stop and bow in respect.
Bazz-B didn’t care.
A bunch of traitors had ended up as his comrades—their respect meant nothing to him.
These newer Quincies were actually former members of WingBind, the Natural Dragon Management Agency. That organization once ruled Reverse London, but it was long gone now.
Unlike the Soul Society, there were no Shinigami or Hollows here. Men and women with unique powers were known as wizards and witches, and monsters were called dragons.
Different names, same essence—beings infused with Reiryoku.
The difference? Wizards could use Reiryoku and shift between their Reishi and Kishi forms. Simply put, they didn’t need artificial bodies to live in the World of the Living—much more convenient than the Shinigami.
These Quincies were once wizards and witches. They chose survival through betrayal and submission. Under the influence of soul fragments, they transformed into Quincies and became Yhwach’s mobile power banks.
If His Majesty wished, he could drain them dry at any time.
Just as Bazz-B was sneering at the thought, he suddenly stopped in his tracks, surprise flashing across his face.
...
At the top of Silbern, in a chamber beyond the throne room, Yhwach, who had been sitting in deep contemplation with his eyes closed, suddenly opened them wide.
With that single motion, a piercing alarm blared across the entire Wandenreich.
"Beep-beep-beep..."
The shrill, rapid alarm echoed through every corner, like a blade slicing the stillness of night.
The Quincies froze at first. Then, their expressions hardened. Pupils shrank. Hands rose, spiritual bows forming in an instant.
Their eyes scanned the area with sharp vigilance.
The alarm left no room for doubt: enemies had invaded. Battle readiness was now mandatory.
...
In a side room on the top floor of Silbern, Haschwalth shot to his feet, eyes blazing with fury.
He knew exactly what this alarm meant—
The Shinigami had arrived!
He’d personally designed this system to prevent another invasion like the one led by Masatsuki Aozaki. It was built to sound the alarm the moment Shinigami breached their borders.
Now that it had gone off, it could only mean one thing: the Shinigami had launched a full-scale assault on Reverse London—and their goal was likely the total destruction of the Wandenreich.
...
Across the Wandenreich, spatial rifts began to tear open. Slowly, the cracks widened, revealing gaping black voids.
From those voids, figures emerged in black and white uniforms—stepping out with fierce, commanding presence.
