Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 570

Chapter 570: He looked like he had question.

Aiden turned to look, and his brows slightly furrowed.

However, Arwen didn’t see the change in his expression. Looking at the file, she reached out to grab it.

However, just when her hand would have touched it, she heard Aiden say.

"Jason forgot it here. He left in quite a hurry."

Arwen paused and turned to look at him. "Dr. Clark?" she repeated, only to see him nod. Nodding back in understanding, she pulled back. "Then reading it wouldn’t be good."

Aiden reached out to gently caress her hair. "It’s fine. I will ask Emyr to send it back to him."

"Mhm-hm~" she hummed with a tight smile before slightly dipping her head to dodge away his hand that had probably already messed her hair. "Although I like it, I still fear you will mess them."

She pouted and he helped her neat it down again.

"Is it fine now?" he asked.

And she held his face in her hands before staring into his eyes to check. "Looks fine in your eyes."

Aiden hadn’t expected her to treat him as a mirror. So, her action caught him off guard for a second, but when he saw her gaze twinkling with mischief, he couldn’t help but smile.

Tapping her nose, he said, "Did you forget to notice time? It’s going to be past our dinner time soon. If the meal is not in your plan, we can stay here the entire night and have fun." ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

He said, already moving to take back the seat on his chair.

But Arwen tugged him back. "What? I came to pick you up, and you want to stay here?"

Aiden arched his brows, and she tugged on his hand again. "Let’s go. I want to see you sitting beside me while I drive." With that, she pulled him to the door.

Aiden let her tow him along, but refused her, "You had your share of driving. Now I will drive."

Arwen paused only to turn and look back at him. "Why? Are you scared of my driving skills, or," her gaze narrowed in scrutiny, "is it your prestige that makes you refuse to sit in the passenger seat?"

He didn’t answer her; rather simply asked, "What do you think?"

Well, she knew it was neither. He was simply protective of her, and that’s why asking her to avoid it.

But not today?

She stepped a step closer and chinned up to stare at him. "I think ..." her eyes trailing from his eyes and lingering for a brief moment on his lips before again gazing back at his orbs. "... you should let me be your chauffeur. After all, not everyone gets this opportunity."

"If this is one in a lifetime opportunity, I wouldn’t dare refuse it." He smiled before brushing away the stray strands of hair behind her ear. "Let’s go."

Her eyes sparkled, and nodding, he once again held his hand, leading him towards the elevator.

Emyr saw them and rose from his chair. "Sir! Madam!"

"Aunt Beca, I am so sorry. I should have called you, but then caught up in something I forgot," she truly felt guilty.

"Oh, it’s fine, dear," Beca said in the same understanding tone. "You have taken up new responsibilities. It’s understandable that you are busy. You should instead complain that I am disturbing you."

"Definitely not," Arwen spoke almost immediately. "To be honest, I am not that busy, Aunt Beca. I have already booked us a room for lunch tomorrow and was about to give you a call in the early evening, but it remained somehow."

"You booked?" Beca asked, and she heard Arwen hum.

"Yes, I did. At Yellow Orchids. I remember you liked the food there."

"You remembered it," Beca laughed on the other side of the call. "Even if I want, how can I stay mad at you? You have always been a good child."

"That’s because you have always adored me, Aunt Beca." A warm smile curled Arwen’s lips, and she glanced at Aiden, who probably had been staring at her all this time.

"Great, then," Beca said, continuing. "Let’s meet and talk tomorrow, then. I will get there and call you."

Arwen hummed to her in response, and then soon after, the call was hung up.

Aiden kept the phone back in her bag.

She waited, but when nothing came from him, she turned to him and asked, "Won’t you ask me anything?"

He looked like he had question.
