Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 588

Chapter 588: Find someone to dig into my past.

As she asked, she stared up to look at him. Her eyes held his, seeking the answer.

Aiden looked at her. The moment seemed to have stretched between them —long but desperate.

It might have been barely a few seconds, but it felt like hundreds of minutes had passed.

Just when Arwen’s patience would have given up, he nodded.

And her expression shifted.

"You had?" she asked, her heart beating hard inside her chest. Could he be what she has been thinking?

Aiden nodded again. "Someone did give me a nickname."

"Who?" she asked, not realizing that she had been holding her breath.

"It was you," Aiden said, his gaze obvious on her. "You call me ’husband’, endearingly. Did you forget already?"

The anticipation that had been building inside her deflated at once. She stared at him and paused for a second.

He noticed the shift that was subtle but quite evident. He wanted to ask her what she wanted to know, but at the same time, he was scared of what she would ask. He might have the answers she was looking but he wasn’t sure if he was ready to give them to her.

"Moon," he called her softly, only to gently pull her out of her thoughts. And when she looked at him, he gestured for her to look at herself. "You still need practice. Bathing me, you got yourself wet. Go and change first," he asked her gently, adding, "I will call Mr. Jones to help me with the rest."

She looked at herself, and her dress indeed had gotten wet. Nodding, she agreed, "Okay, I will go and change first. As Mr. Jones to coming."

Saying that, she rose to move away. But didn’t leave immediately. She stared at him for a moment, her thoughts going back to think the possibility of him being the one she had forgotten.

Could it just be an imagination?

Aiden turned to her, and before he could say anything, she signalled to the bathroom.

"I will go and change." And then she simply turned and walked away.

He watched her, his gaze turning deep. Reaching his phone, he dialled a number.

After a few rings, the call was connected, and through the line, Jason’s voice came through. "How are you feeling now? I am sure you must have completed your sleep after a long while. Feeling refreshed, isn’t it?"

"Shut up!" Aiden’s voice was low, but the edginess was clear.

"Ayee ... is that how you pay me back after I cured you? You know how bad the temperature was yesterday?"

"Did you give me any medicine that would make me hallucinate in the dream?" Aiden didn’t mind acknowledging his words. He simply asked for what he had called.

Jason paused at that. "Hallucination? What do you mean?"

"If this is the way to find out, I don’t mind," she muttered.

On the other side, Ryan was wreaking a mess in his organized study searching for something. But no matter where he looked, he couldn’t find what he was looking for.

Zenith was patiently waiting in the living hall. But when even after half an hour, she didn’t see him coming, she checked the time on her watch and turned to look in the direction of the study, confused.

She debated going in to check, but hesitated thinking that it might not be very wise.

However, in the end, when she saw it getting late, she walked down the corridor to check.

She knocked at the door of the room, but heard no response. "Sir?" she called out, knocking again. But when even then she didn’t hear anything, she pushed in to step inside without permission —only to find it a mess.

"This ..."

Ryan was picking out the book and mindlessly throwing it on the floor. His face was marred with anxiousness that Zenith couldn’t quite understand.

"Sir, are you looking for something?" she asked, only to feel ignored.

Not knowing what to do, she stepped further in to help, but in an attempt to avoid stepping onto something and then another, she lost her balance and fell on her knees, hard.
