Breaking Free, Loving Again -The Flash Marriage with Mr. CEO novel Chapter 719

Chapter 719: As if he was being tortured there.

At Winslow Residence —

William’s frown didn’t ease. And when Morgan saw him like that, he couldn’t help but ask, "What is it, William? You have been frowning like that since last evening."

"Sir, I don’t mean to offend you, but ..."

"But what?" Mogan asked again, closing the book he was reading and setting it aside on the table.

"There is something, sir, that I am failing to understand." Even though he felt a little hesitant, he said it the right way.

Morgan looked at him as if contemplating and nodding, he said, "Ask it then. Who has stopped you?"

William thought for a moment and then slowly asked, "Sir, when young Sir married his wife, you said you had seen it coming. You even looked happy when Jones called you and gave you the news. But are you really happy?"

"Why do you ask that?" Morgan arched his brows in amusement.

However, William’s expression remained serious. He simply replied, presenting his reason for doubt, "Something so audacious happened last evening. Yet you didn’t even take a single action against the young girl of the Martin family. Your such lack of concern only made it look like you were partially supporting her audacity. As though you were in favor of her actions."

"Do you think my favor or disfavor would change anything?" Morgan let out a soft chuckle. "Do you not know how that brat is?"?

William’s furrow only deepened.

Morgan studied him for a moment before shaking his head lightly.

"Everyone views matters through different lenses. To some, something looks positive, while others perceive the very same thing with pessimism."

"Sir, you mean ...?"

"I mean," Morgan explained evenly. "I was never in support of Selene. Last night, when I refrained from taking action against her, it wasn’t because I condoned her behaviour. Rather, it was because I wanted to see what Arwen had in her plans. I didn’t want to intervene."

"But, sir," William frowned, "the young lady left without a word. And she hadn’t returned the whole night. I fear she might have misunderstood —"

Before he could finish, a knock at the door interrupted him. Turning, they saw Mr. Jones standing in the doorway.

"Old Master," Mr. Jones greeted respectfully as he stepped inside.

Morgan merely glanced at him and asked, "Has Selene been kicked out?"

Both Mr. Jones and William were taken aback. They exchanged a gaze before Mr. Jones turned and nodded to the old man.

"Yes, Old Master. The young madam returned ... and she personally dealt with Ms. Martin. This time, she offered no kindness. Instead, she exposed every lie and every scheme. She showed her no mercy."

Morgan’s lips tugged up in a known smile. He didn’t say anything; instead, he turned to look at William as if that alone explained all that he was saying earlier.

"You understood it now?" he asked.

And William ... even though he didn’t quite understand why Morgan was so confident about it, couldn’t help but nod.

"Arwen is no simple. You will know more about her in future." As he said that, she sounded more like a proud grandfather.

Meanwhile, at the same time, back in the main wing —

Her frown deepened, and she couldn’t help but stand up to walk back to the bathroom. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
