Buried by My Alpha Crowned novel Chapter 40

As soon as we arrived at the manor, I was short of words. Anyone would be if they set eyes on what was probably the most luxurie building I’d ever seen in my life. It was screaming money in about three hundred different languages.

Let’s go in.Olavir held out a hand for me to take.

I took in a deep breath and reached out to his hand, letting him lead me into the manor. He guided me to the biggest building in the manor. I found it hard to hold back my looks of shock and awe. The place was simply too beautiful. And big. It was really big.

The servants were really busy. They went about, carrying out the different tasks that had been delegated to them.

Some of them were tending to the flowers in the garden, while others were hurrying to and fro to carry out one task or the other.

I couldn’t help but marvel at how organized they were in carrying out their duties. They had been given this job and it was obvious they took it very seriously.

This place is amazing,I sighed, unable to hold myself back anymore.

I know right?Olavir turned to me, a bright smile on his face. Wait till you see the inside first.

I let out a breath and nodded my head. If the outside was this jawdropping, I wondered what the inside would look like. I might

even faint from how amazing it would be.

What do our brothers do? Their jobs I mean. What do they do for a living?I asked, unable to hide my curiosity anymore.

Olavir remained silent for an awfully long amount of time. Just when I thought of telling him to forget about it, he turned to me.

There was a playful smile on his lips as he winked at me.

Merhold is a real estate developer.

Merhold. So that’s another one of my brothers.I repeated his name several times in my head so I wouldn’t forget.

Yes. You’re just collecting brothers like Pokémon.Olavir joked.

I ignored him, trying to piece the puzzle in my head together. Olavir was a medical scientist, and he said Merhold was a real estate

developer.

That had to mean he was an architect.

So he’s an architect?I asked.

Olavir stifled a laugh with his hand. I narrowed my eyes on him. He didn’t retort my question but he still hadn’t confirmed what I

needed to know.

In some ways,Olavir smiled. I guess it does look that way.

I wanted to ask some more questions but I pushed them away. Olavir would use that as another chance to mess with me again.

He led us into the splendid building. I tensed at how serious the whole atmosphere was. If it wasn’t for the tension, l’aave actually marveled at how beautiful the whole place was.

Except I had to stand before a line of serious looking bodyguards. Their expressions were hardened and they didn’t look like they were messing around.

Hello,I squeaked, my voice coming out lower than intended.

They didn’t move a muscle, all their eyes fixed on me. I noted the weapons they were carrying. One false move and they hesitate to use it on me.

What’s got you frozen on the spot?Olavir appeared beside me.

It was only when they saw him that they relaxed their defenses. I tried not to let it get me annoyed. Of course they’d do that They didn’t know me at all or even have the faintest clue who I was.

Hello guys,Olavir greeted in a sickly sweet tone. This is Evelyn. The family’s first lady.

None of them moved a muscle or even reacted. Olavir frowned, ready to stomp towards them. Blair came from behind us and regarded the bodyguards.

This is the young lady of the Carte family that we were ordered to go pick up.He explained.

In a twist, they all bowed their heads in greeting. Welcome back, princess Evelyn.

I tried to hide my surprise and straightened my spine. Thank you.

We headed inside with Blair following behind us swiftly. I turned to look at him, unable to hold back my questions anymore.

I never knew the management was so strict.

That’s because Mr. Merhold has a special status.Blair explained.
