Chapter 55
Greyven turned to his guards. “Get him out of my sight.”
“Wait!” I stopped him abruptly. “Ile’s probably busy with the elder. They’re in the process of choosing a student, you know. Let’s not bother him.”
Greyven’s eyes remained narrowed on him for a while before he turned back to me. “Alright then. We should get going.”
I nodded, making my way to the limo which was already waiting for us, Just as the car started to slowly move, I saw Froste staring at me from outside the window.
He’d already noticed me.
Where his eyes had once been cold and unwelcoming, they were now full of love and yearning. I turned away, unable to bear that look in his eyes any longer. It was better if I pretended it didn’t exist.
The car eventually drove out of the mall and we began making our way home. I tried to focus on the scenery outside the window, trying to calm my thoughts down.
“Miss Evelyn.” The bodyguard driving the car started speaking.
“What is it?” I stared at his figure.

“That man you saw there was the inspection officer. He was appointed by the elders themselves. He’s responsible for randomly checking the character of each person who came for the exam.”
I was surprised. “Do you actually mean it?”
He nodded, his gaze still fixed ahead. “No doubt, Tina should be eliminated.”
I remained silent, letting his words sink in. I’d been with Froste for three years and I never even knew he was the Elder’s best
student.
It was hard trying to ignore the stab of guilt I felt. Maybe if I had paid more attention, I would have known. I was simply too busy then, not to mention I didn’t really have time to care about Froste.
As soon as I arrived home, the maids took the shopping bags and went to work on arranging them out.
I kicked my shoes off and let myself collapse into a chair. Today was really something, and I could feel the exhaustion slowly creeping in.
Just as my eyes started to flutter closer, I heard footsteps coming close to me. I opened my eyes to see a man standing before me. He bowed his head and started to speak.
“Good day, Princess Evelyn.”
I let out a gasp when he displayed a pair of shoes before me. “This was delivered her by some people from Galaxy Pack.”
It took quite some time before I was able to recover from the shock. Someone brought these shoes for me? Why would they do that? “Would you accept the shoes, my princess?” One of the maids asked.
I remained silent for a while, silently debating with myself if it was worth taking. Eventually I gave in and nodded my head.
“Take them.” I said to the maids.

Chapter 55
Making my way to my room, I allowed the maids to bring it after me. The shoes were gorgeous. It looked like countless stars had been embedded into the design, giving it a shine that made it hard to look away.
I knew what they were. A special kind of meteorite. It could only be found in Galaxy Pack. Letting out a sigh, I turned back to the
maids.
“Put the away.”
The maids bowed and hurried away to carry my
feeling.
Only one question rang through my mind. Who have sent those shoes?
I tried to take in a deep breath, smoothing down invincible wrinkles from my dress. It was the day of the second round of the examination. Basically, it would be an interview. I looked down at the shoes I’d settled on.
