Chapter 98

The client was an oriental faced woman who had an oddly warm. I shook her hand warmly, unable to hold back a smile as well

Nice to meet you.I said to her. Her smile seemed to grow at my words.

Come this way.I added.

We began making our way towards the apartment. When we got there, I was hit with the sight of a placard.

The apartment was off limits to strangers. We still made our way closer to the house. It looked pretty good but it would have been nice if we were able to get a closer look at the place.

Excuse me,We turned to see a security guard making his way towards us.

He had a nasty sneer on his face as he watched us. Can’t you read? It’s restricted for strangers.

Yes, I know that,I started, But I’m taking someone who’s ready to buy a house to go in so she can get a good look of it.

And that’s my problem how?He scoffed.

I narrowed my eyes, feeling the anger simmering beneath my skin. He was unnecessarily rude and it was getting on my nerves. He didn’t look one bit fazed by his attitude and actually seemed to enjoy messing with us.

His eyes flickered to the dress I was wearing. I didn’t like the way he seemed to be examining me from head to toe.

You must be a poor student, right? He chuckled. Out of the part time job you’re doing at that small company that nobody’s heard from. How the hell do you expect me to entrust such a luxurious apartment to a small company like yours to sell it? For all I knew, you might even try to steal something. My hands tightened into fists by my side. I wanted nothing more than to give the guard a piece of my mind, preferably my fist in his face.

Lillian who had been silent this whole time finally stepped up, and she looked mad. What the hell is your problem? Can’t you see she’s an agent?! want to buy this house and she just wants to show me what I’d be paying for with my money. Are you too dumb to see that?

I stepped forward, putting a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. She turned to me, her shoulders sagging just a bit. I sent her a small smile before turning to the guard again, my smile dropping completely.

First of all,I started, my voice clear and organized. My company has entered into partnership with the construction company behind the apartments.

How the hell is that my problem? He spat to the side.

I ignored him and went on. We are in compliance with werewolf law and the size of the company doesn’t matter. Secondly, you’ve made an insult to my character. Accusing me and my clients of not being able to afford the apartments just because I’m a part time student?

It was taking a great deal of selfcontrol to stay calm but I knew I couldn’t just blow up. Not now when a client was here.

I-.

The security guard scoffed, interjecting when I tried to speak again. Get the hell out of here.

I felt an eyebrow twitch. Excuse me?

I said to get the hell out of here. Some company executives are coming here to inspect the place. I don’t need you lot interfering with it. Understand?

And what do you mean by that?I stepped forward, trying my best to hold back from beating the shit out of him.

He inched forward, a confident smirk on his face. It means what I said before. Get the hell out!

Lillian’s cheeks looked warm with what must have been. She looked right about ready to just leave.

Let’s go. I’m done with this.I didn’t like how her voice sounded.

My gaze went back to the security guard who looked a tad bit too satisfied with what he’d done. I was about to step forward again when I saw a
