Chapter 251
Chapter 32: The Four Phases of Justice.
It had been almost two weeks since Josie learned the truth about the car crash from four years ago. Her mind was still reeling from the truth….Vanessa purposely caused the crash just to get rid of her. Josie wasn’t sure what pissed her off the most; the fact that Vanessa killed an innocent person on purpose for her own selfish motives; or the fact that her family literally did EXACTLY what Vanessa knew they would do….sacrifice Josie for her.
That day, Joshua came into her office just as the video was ending, seeing Josie in her chair crying; he wasn’t sure what happened, but he knew it had something to do with that sorry ass family.
“Josic, please….tell me what happened.”
Josie turned to Joshua, her eyes bloodshot red and filled with tears. Without saying a word, she just placed her face into his chest as she continued to cry. As the sobs became heavier, Joshua wrapped his arms around Josie embracing her into a hug.
Finally, after her body drained itself of tears; Josie composed herself feeling exhausted*.* It seemed like the weight of the past four years came rushing into her mentality. Joshua grabbed some tissue and began to wipe her eyes and cheeks. His face filled with sadness. Josie smiled lightly as she spoke in a low and haggard voice.
“T–Thank you. I’m sorry.”
Joshua smiled at Josie, his heart burned with pain for her. Learning all that she’d been through these past four years, the fact that she still held her resilience was what he’d grown to love most about her. Above everything else, those people didn’t change her heart; but they’d surly broken it. He would be the one to mend it back together whole while crushing the people that did this to her.
“Don’t you ever apologize to me Josie.”
Joshua tilted her chin up so that she could look him directly in the eyes.
“That’s what I’m here for. Josie I….I love you. So you don’t have to ever apologize to me for showing your emotions. What you’ve been through, it could have completely destroyed you….but you didn’t let it! You fought hard! All by yourself!”
Josie’s eyes widen in shock, she’d realized over these past few months that she started to develop feelings for Joshua. However, she’d told herself she was too damaged to be worthy of his feelings being the same. Now, even after hearing her full story, he still loved her. How? Josie immediately stood up. Her nerves and emotions were all over the place. Her voice was just above a whisper.
“Don’t say that.”
Joshua could barely hear her.
“What did you say Jo-”
“I said don’t say that!!”
Her sudden outburst shocked Joshua. Why did she just say that? Did she not feel the same way?
“Josie…I don’t understand.”

Joshua immediately embraced Josie; she could feel her cheeks become wet from his tears. In a soothing and controlled voice, Joshua began to speak.
“You’re not damaged Josie. You’re perfect. You’re a warrior. Look at me.”
Josie tilted her head so that she could see Joshua’s face.
“What that animal did to you…it’s not you’re fault. I hate that he stole your innocence away from you. Hate that he stole your concept of something beautiful. But if you let me…I promise, I’ll spend my life showing you the truth. Please Josie, dont push me away.”
Tears began to pool out of losie’s eyes; she wasn’t sure if she was worthy of his love, but she knew she never wanted to let it go. A guilty smile appeared on her lips.
“I’m so selfish. I don’t have the heart to turn you away.”
Joshua smiled brightly, tilting her face towards his, he leaned in closer. Their lips lightly touching.
“Then by all means my little baker….be greedy. You’ve earned it.”
With that, Joshua took Josie’s lips into his and for the first time in her life, Josie felt desired and loved in a way that made her emotions and body feel like silk. It was as if Joshua was washing away all the scars left by Tillman.
Later that evening, she showed both Joshua and Marlon the video of Vanessa and Jamie. Marlon’s face twisted in a disgusted expression. His voice low and horsed.
“What the fuck is wrong with these people?”
Joshua’s brows were furrowed as he scowled at the video.
“So she killed an innocent woman just to get rid of you.”
Josie nodded her head in agreement.
“Yup. You wanna know what the worse of this is….she was right.”
Both Marlon and Joshua stared at Josie in confusion.
“She knew the Taylors would do anything to protect her….including destroying my life. Honestly… they are the sole reason this monster was created. They did this. They all need to pay.”
Now, two weeks later, Josie decided to hold a team meeting. It was time to begin the first phase of their plan. Georgia and Evelyn informed Josie the cops in Bridgeton had already began their investigation into Tillman’s death in connection with Glendale.

“Good. Let them do a little digging first….as dumb as Vanessa Is, I’m sure she slipped up somewhere. We’ll wait to send in the evidence. I want her arrest to happen at the competition.”
Georgia and Evelyn nodded in agreement.
The plan to take the Taylors down had been broken up into four different phases. Each portion would have to play out flawlessly in order for the entire plan to work tenfold. Each of the members in Josie’s circle were assigned a phase; leaving the night of the competition to be the grand evening of destruction. A red wedding was coming; she’d make sure she carried the bouquet.
“Marlon, I need you and Emily to gather all the information on the facility nana was placed it. Something Vanessa said to me when she came that day to tell me she died….I have a feeling it wasn’t by accident.”
Marlon’s eyes widen; was she saying Vanessa killed their grandmother!!
“Jojo….are you telling me she murdered our grandmother?”
Josie’s eyes darkened.
“I think she did it inadvertently. She mentioned something about the facility being inhumane. Find out where they had her, if I can get them all arrested….I will.”
Marlon nodded…his mind was circling in different directions. He couldn’t believe these people were even human much less blood relatives to his cousin. Feeling his tension, Emily lightly grabbed his hand.
“It’s going to be okay. Whatever you find out…I’ll be right there with you.”
Marlon smiled at Emily; over the past few months he’d really grown to appreciate all the help she was giving to his little cousin. Squeezing her hand; Marlon nodded in agreement. Now wasn’t the time to get emotional; he needed to get justice for his family!
Suddenly, Adrianna walked in.
“Guess that means it’s time for me and Joshua’s phase to kick off.”
Adrianna had a devious smile on her face as she made her way over to the group. Josie smiled sardonically, turning to Joshua, she nodded in agreement with Adrianna. A slight grin appeared on Joshua’s lips.
“Time for my uncle to gain a new designer.”
