Chapter 88
That kidnapper attacked my daughter and knocked her unconscious, his dirty hands around her sent a thousand volt current throughout my body. I barely suppressed my screams and called the police.
“Miss Drielle here. My daughter, Jane has been kidnapped from her aerospace academy.”
Chaos erupted in the academy as Bright ordered his staff to take over the building. Officer Nolan from the emergency response team joined the premises shortly after my call and started investigations. The owner of the academy was on his knees, pleading not to involve the media in this matter. My daughter was abducted, and he was worrying about his reputation.
“Please don’t inform any news channel. If the word goes out, the government will shut down my aerospace academy. I am ready to do anything you say…”
Jane’s cute face flashed across my mind as the two rivers of despair rolled down my cheeks, I was aghast by that
man’s heartlessness.
I wanted to punch him in the face, but my cell phone’s ringing stopped me. An unknown number flashing on the
screen alerted Officer Nolan.
“Put the call on the speakerphone, Miss Drielle. It can be a kidnapper’s call.”
Following his instruction, I received the call, a menacing voice from the other side sent shivers down my spine.
“You must have found out that your precious daughter was kidnapped, Drielle!”
He paused for a second, and gave the cell phone to Jane, her anguished sobs skinned me alive.
“Mommy, I am scared. They are bad uncles…”
That man laughed at my little girl’s cries, running me out of patience. I thundered like a wounded lioness to save my
pup.
“Don’t you dare touch my daughter, bastard. Tell me what you want?”
He let out a pleased chuckle and demanded the ransom for my daughter’s freedom.
“I want five hundred bitcoins in the next two hours, Miss Drielle!”
Five hundred bitcoins?
I wasn’t too savvy with this currency, but I was ready to pay anything for my daughter’s freedom.
