Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 137

Natalie laughed, the sound dripping with sarcasm. “Are you joking, Sebastian? If you weren’t so deeply in love with her, how could you grant her every wish? How could you believe her every word?”

“And you came looking for me today because of your mother’s poisoning. If I’m not mistaken, Joanna was the one who gave you the ‘evidence.’”

“So, in the end, you chose to believe her and came to interrogate me. You say I don’t defend myself, but how am I supposed to? You’d rather trust your vague childhood sweetheart, a woman who abandoned you when you were blind and couldn’t walk, than believe me, the wife whose name is legally bound to yours.”

“Sebastian, when you finally learn the truth one day, what you’ve done to your mother will make you suffer for the rest of your life.”

“And another thing. Joanna has been harassing me like this for years. I don’t care how close you two are, I don’t want to see it anymore. Go tell her to stop sending me these messages and photos. I have screenshots of everything. If she sends one more, I’ll release them to the public.”

Agitated, Sebastian loosened his tie, his gaze darkening. Natalie didn’t believe him. How could he have known Joanna was so shameless, photoshopping him into pictures with her just to send to Natalie?

His voice was hoarse. “I just came to confirm with you. I will try to believe you—”

“Don’t bother,” Natalie cut him off. “Listen to yourself. ‘Try to believe me’? There’s no point. From the day I left, I stopped needing your trust. I don’t love you anymore. I don’t care anymore. Who you are means nothing to me.”

She stood up and addressed the chef. “Leo, could you please have my breakfast sent to my room? I’ve lost my appetite for eating here. And no wasabi, please. I have a mild allergy.”

She added, “And a slightly smaller portion of the seafood pasta.”

“Of course, Young Miss,” Leo said with a smile.

Queena looked just as curious. She thought for a moment, examining Natalie’s features. It really was an ill-fated connection. How did it suddenly become a true one?

“That’s so strange,” Queena murmured to herself. “Looks like my skills are failing me. How could I have been so wrong?”

Natalie didn’t catch what she was muttering and continued to eat. Why couldn’t she have been reborn before the wedding instead of right before the divorce? If she had known it would be this difficult, she would have gladly signed the papers any of the countless times Sebastian had offered them to her before.

Queena stared at Natalie with a strange intensity. “Natalie, I can’t seem to read you at all.”

Natalie froze, her body stiffening. “What… what do you mean?”
