Natalie thought Sebastian was now resorting to lies. “Sebastian, you’re pathetic. Can’t you even admit to what you’ve done?”
“You’re a tech expert yourself. You saw the photos and videos. They weren’t fake. It was you and Joanna, cheating on me during our marriage. You’re both shameless. So, unless it’s about the divorce, don’t contact me again. We have nothing to talk about. I don’t want a penny of your money. Let’s just go sign the papers.”
She was tired of repeating herself. Why wasn’t Sebastian tired of hearing it?
“You used to throw a divorce agreement at me every single month. I’m being framed. I want you to investigate. Everyone knows Sebastian Spencer is a genius, but from where I’m standing, you’re no different from that disgusting Scott family.”
Sebastian’s brow furrowed, his voice urgent. “Natalie, you don’t believe me?”
“When I was framed by you and the Scotts,” she said with a cold laugh, “even strangers believed me. But you, my own husband, never did.”
Sebastian was at a loss for words, his eyes growing darker. It was true. He had never once believed her.
A car pulled up, and Natalie got in. Before closing the door, she looked at him. “We’re getting a divorce tomorrow morning. Remember to call me. If you don’t, Joanna will find a way to make you. We’ll see.”
She gave him a sweet, dismissive wave, as if their divorce was a foregone conclusion.
Sebastian felt as if she knew everything, and he was just a clown in her story.
He felt a tightness in his chest as he watched her car drive away, a cold glint in his eyes.
What is Joanna planning? And Marshall… he seems to have disappeared these past few days.
Sebastian had seen that photo. “Find out as soon as you can. That man is my perfect double. It’s nearly impossible to tell us apart.”
“Sir,” Sean said, puzzled, “why don’t you ask your father? Maybe you really do have a twin brother.”
Sebastian frowned. He didn’t know. He had never seen any indication of a twin.
“Sir, what if we look into it? Your father is the only one who would know for sure.”
Sean felt this was a serious matter, and starting with Sebastian’s father was the most direct way to get to the truth.
Sebastian’s eyes were cold and deep. “Investigate him, but I don’t want to see him. Have Boris handle it tomorrow. You continue with your current investigation.”
