Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 198

“Is there a single decent person in the Scott family? Get out!”

Natalie’s anger reached its breaking point.

Jerome, equally furious, stood up and left.

At the door, he heard her choked sobs and couldn’t help but clench his fists. He looked back and saw her cradling the pile of torn sketches, crying, and a wave of guilt washed over him.

She was still his sister, after all. Why did she have to be so difficult?

“Natalie, Joanna is more talented than you. You should give her this opportunity.”

Natalie’s head snapped up, her eyes filled with hatred. “Jerome, you are utterly shameless. What does her talent have to do with me? Who do you think you are to tell me to step aside?”

“If you’re so capable, why don’t you build an empire for her? What right do you have to demand anything from me? I’ve signed the papers. I have no connection to the Scott family. To me, you’re a stranger. Why should I give up anything for you?”

Jerome was speechless, but he still tried to argue. “But this whole thing started because of you. If you hadn’t called the police…”

“So I should have just let them humiliate me? Let them rape me?”

“Jerome, are you really that cruel? This whole mess happened because of you, didn’t it? Why should I be the one to suffer? Why should I be the one you punish?”

“What right do you have to lecture me?”

“Your mother only gave birth to me. Someone else raised me. I’ve repaid my debt to your family over the years. I owe you nothing.”

“Jerome, you’re just as shameless as your father. You only know how to blame others. You create the problem, then force it onto the weak so you can walk away clean.”

Her words hit Jerome like a punch to the gut. He looked at her calm eyes and wanted to say that wasn’t what he meant, but the words wouldn’t come. He turned and strode out.

But the image of her, heartbroken over her ruined designs, replayed in his mind, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that he had gone too far.

No, she was the one who went too far. That’s why I did it. I’m not wrong.

After Jerome left, Natalie gathered all the sketches. Many of them were unusable.

She wiped her tears, refusing to be defeated. She told herself that time would be the ultimate judge. She would deal with every last one of those rotten people.

She sat in her office chair and took a deep breath. She pulled a wet wipe from her desk and gently dabbed her eyes, the cool moisture soothing the irritation. But for some reason, despite telling herself she shouldn't be upset, the tears kept flowing.
