Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 219

Natalie took the tablet. The woman in the photo was familiar. She was sure she had seen her in her past life, but not this one.

“Her name is Nora,” Luna said. “She’s the CEO of S.J. Corp. One of Marshall’s potential partners met with her and signed a contract.”

Natalie closed her eyes. The name was familiar too. Where had she heard it? The memories of her past life, the pain and suffering, flashed before her eyes, each frame crystal clear. She pressed her fingers to her temples. “Luna, I’m going to sleep for an hour. Wake me up when the time is up.” Maybe a clear head would help her remember.

Luna looked at her boss’s pale face with concern. “You shouldn’t go out today. You’re as white as a sheet. You’re going to run yourself into the ground at this rate.”

Natalie just smiled and shook her head. “You don’t understand, Luna. The best way to respect life is to spend every day on something meaningful. Time is too short. I can’t waste my best years.”

Luna thought she was still hurting over Sebastian. “There’s a medicine called forgetting. Let go of the pain and remember only the happy times.” It was just one man. There were plenty of good men in the world.

But Luna didn’t understand. It wasn’t about Sebastian anymore. It was about survival. Natalie took a deep breath, her smile light. “You know what, Luna? All I want now is a quiet, stable life where things go smoothly. But it seems life has other plans. Even when I try to stay out of the storm, the waves keep crashing over me. Even after the divorce, after leaving the Scotts, they still won’t let me go.”

She closed her eyes. Luna clenched her fists. That bitch Joanna. She deserved to die.

Marshall recognized her. “Nora. I met her at a banquet once. She’s just the CEO. No one knows who the real owner is.”

Natalie frowned. She knew that name. She just had to remember from where.

For the next day and night, Natalie and Marshall investigated tirelessly, finally uncovering a few leads. On the morning of the third day, Marshall accompanied Natalie back to Yaro. He had managed to salvage the situation in Wye. Natalie had even helped him secure a new partnership, restoring some of his reputation within his family. The Spencer family was a powerful force, and Natalie had no intention of letting that connection go to waste. She had already convinced Wayne to collaborate with them.
