Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 253

Joanna’s eyes reddened as she looked at him. “After the crash, we suspected your car had been tampered with, so we called the police. They’ve already contacted Natalie. The officers are downstairs investigating now.”

Jerome bit his lip. Could it really have been Natalie? But she had warned him not to race. He hadn’t believed her.

At that moment, Nathan produced a share transfer agreement. “Jerome,” he said, his tone heavy, “you’ll be going abroad for treatment in three days. While you’re gone, I’ll take care of everything. You have 5% of the company shares. Why don’t you transfer them to me for now?”

“The company is in a volatile state, and I’m worried something might happen. But your treatment can’t be delayed. Your mother is so busy with the company that she can’t even come see you.”

The words struck Jerome like a bolt of lightning. He remembered the recording his mother had played for him—the real threat to his life was his own father and Joanna. His mother had said she was getting a divorce, that she was giving up on him. Seeing the share transfer agreement, his heart sank. Could it be true?

He also remembered Natalie’s words. Larry hadn’t exposed him yet because he wanted to watch Jerome be destroyed by the very people he cherished most. Was everything Natalie said true?

Jerome was terrified—terrified that the sister he had doted on his whole life was a monster.

His eyes, filled with rage, locked onto his father. “Dad, I just had the accident. I can barely speak, I can’t even lift my hand, and you’re already asking me to sign over my shares? Are you that desperate to get your hands on them?”

Seeing his anger, Nathan softened his tone. The most important thing was to get him to sign. His own health had been strange lately.

“Alright, alright. If not to me, then give them to Joanna. You adore her. The shares would be safe with her.”

Joanna’s brow furrowed. “It must be because you gave her designs to Verna. She held a grudge and plotted against you. After the accident, the security footage showed a suspicious person near your car. When they caught him, he said Natalie hired him. Dad was so angry he called the police.”

“I know she’s your sister, and this must be hard for you to hear. But right now, your legs are the priority. Let the law deal with Natalie.”

Jerome closed his eyes. “Where’s my phone?”

Joanna approached his bed. Seeing his refusal to sign, a murderous glint flashed in her eyes. “You need to rest. Dad will hold onto your phone for you. Once you sign the transfer agreement, he’ll give it back.”
