"Sir, it's bad! Joanna went to Ms. Sanders' office to secretly photograph her designs, and it's all being livestreamed! The things she's saying... it's a disaster for her image. I think her movie career is over before it even started. She's getting completely roasted online."
Sebastian, who hadn't slept well, rubbed his temples. He took the phone Sean offered and watched the video. As he did, a murderous glint appeared in his eyes. "So I was deceived by her gentle and kind act all this time."
Sean just stood there. Well, better late than never. "Sir, what should we do? This doesn't just involve us; Mr. Wilson's project is caught up in it too." Secretly, Sean was impressed. Ms. Sanders' counterattack was brilliant. It exposed Joanna's true nature for all to see. The public humiliation she'd suffered a few days ago must have been the final straw.
"She made this mess, she can deal with it herself," Sebastian said coldly. "Tell Mr. Wilson we're pulling our one-hundred-million-dollar investment." He wanted to force that man out into the open. This was the only way he would appear within the year.
Sean grinned. "Sir, you've finally made the right decision. I'll go inform them immediately."
Sebastian leaned his head on his hand, the dull ache in his head persisting. He thought of Natalie's words—that she would no longer tolerate things, that she would fight back. Her retaliation was swift and brutal, making her seem almost like a stranger.
Nathan saw the livestream and desperately tried to call Joanna. She finally answered after she was done photographing the sketches. "Dad."
"Joanna, what are you doing in Natalie's office?"
Joanna stumbled back, her eyes wide with fear. "You little bitch, don't you dare try anything. Sebastian is right across the—"
"Thud!" Before she could finish, Luna delivered a powerful kick to her stomach. Joanna's slight frame flew backward like a leaf in the wind, crashing hard onto the floor. "Agh!" Pain shot through her body, feeling as if her organs had been rearranged. "It hurts," she whimpered, lying on the ground in tears.
Luna walked over and looked down at her. "Hurts, does it?" she sneered. "When you framed Ms. Sanders, when you schemed against her, she felt a thousand times more pain than this. You can't even handle a little bit of it. And the real pain is just beginning. Ms. Sanders knew you were up to no good, so she had me set up a livestream for you. You love scheming, don't you? Let's see how you like being on the receiving end, how you like being trashed by the entire internet."
