Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 354

She hadn't even been able to attend her recent piano competition because of Sebastian's change of heart.

Her assistant continued, "Ms. Sanders, we can't let Marshall continue this. We need to find a way to get him sent to the police."

Joanna considered it. "In three days, there's a gala hosted by several prominent families. Mr. Wilson is taking me, and someone like Marshall will definitely be there. We'll set a trap for him then. Also, my brother is moving his company back here. He's in the fashion industry too. Find the best designers. I'm going to make sure Natalie has no future in this field. I will grind her into the dust."

"Of course, Ms. Sanders. We're already making preparations," he replied.

Joanna smiled viciously, and her assistant mirrored her expression before starting the car to take her to Mr. Wilson.

Natalie spent the next two days resting at home. The three-day fishing trip had been exhilarating but exhausting, especially since she'd hit a rare low tide and caught so much. She hadn't even gone into the office.

On the third day, a call from Marshall finally roused her from her lazy state. She had the maid prepare a rose petal bath and a beauty mask. After a luxurious soak and a full-body spa treatment, it was already past four in the afternoon.

Marshall came to pick her up. Since they were allies, Natalie hadn't bothered to hide her address from him.

Tonight, she was dressed to impress. The moment Marshall saw her, he froze, his eyes wide with admiration.

"Natalie, has anyone ever told you something?"

She settled into the passenger seat before asking, "What's that?"

Matthew: [Great! See you there.]

Natalie: [See you!]

As Marshall drove, he said, "Joanna will be at the gala tonight. As the woman at the center of the scandal, Mr. Wilson will be parading her around to network and meet important people."

"It seems Mr. Wilson is determined to promote her," Natalie mused. "After all, the squeaky wheel gets the grease."

Marshall almost choked with laughter at her choice of words. "Natalie, that phrase is an insult to squeaky wheels. With her, it's more like the slimiest snake gets the rat." He stopped himself from saying anything cruder, but the thought of Joanna made him want to swear. That woman was truly… vile.

Knowing how Joanna had schemed against Marshall before, Natalie offered a word of caution. "By the way, Marshall, be careful tonight. You've crossed Joanna before, and she loves to cause a scene in public. You saw what she tried to do to me at Mr. Wilson’s party. Be extremely cautious. Don't eat or drink anything unless it's from someone you trust completely, understand?"
