Natalie had no idea how torturous the night had been for Joanna, but she herself had slept wonderfully.
When she woke up, she saw the bright sunshine outside, stretched lazily, and lay back down.
She absolutely loved life on the island. The clear blue sea was so therapeutic.
But there was one downside to being by the ocean: the humidity.
A short stay here was fantastic. The sky was exceptionally blue, as was the sea. The breeze was crisp, and every view was captivating.
Natalie got out of bed, washed up, and planned to simply boil the seafood she'd caught yesterday and have Susan over for breakfast.
After messaging Susan, she went to the kitchen. It was a simple setup, but it had an induction cooktop and a microwave, which was enough to cook seafood.
Natalie carried the coconut snails outside. She needed to crack the shells to get the meat out for cooking.
At her door, she saw Sebastian from across the hall, also about to leave. Perhaps because they were on an island, he was dressed in a sleek, light-gray sweatsuit that made him look fresh and handsome, less brooding than usual.
Natalie gave him only a passing glance before heading toward the elevator.
Sebastian looked at the basin of seafood she was carrying—the catch from her dive yesterday.
He followed her and asked, "Natalie, when are you going back?"
Natalie said flatly, "Mr. Griffith, when I go back is none of your business. I have nothing to do with you now. I came here for some peace and quiet, so why do I keep running into you and Joanna everywhere? What bad luck."
"Natalie, you..." Sebastian glared at her. She was so rebellious now, she really knew how to push his buttons.
Sebastian followed her into the elevator, suppressing his anger. "Natalie, I'm not going to marry Joanna. Come back with me."
