She went back to her desk and pulled out a drawer containing records of the monthly payments.
“Look for yourself. This is all proof of the president’s support for you. But what about you? The company is in trouble, and not one of you has come to help. Instead, you just create more problems.”
Lindsay then walked out.
Colin stared at the records, stomping his foot in frustration. He truly hadn't received a single cent of that money. But the bank card... it was one he never used. Because it had no money in it, he'd just left it in a drawer at home.
He quickly took out his phone and checked his banking app. It was his card, but he hadn't used it in years.
A jolt went through Colin. He remembered three years ago when Joanna had asked for his ID. He trusted her completely and had no idea what she wanted it for.
And only Joanna knew about that card.
Could it be…
Colin spun around and rushed to find his mother.
Could everything his mother said be true?
