Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 62

Oh, Sebastian, Sebastian. One of these days, you're going to be the poster child for toxic exes. They might even give you an award.

Sebastian’s cold gaze landed on Sean. “Sean, just drive the car. Why are you talking so much?” he barked, his voice laced with irritation.

Sean immediately fell silent.

Sebastian’s thoughts returned to Natalie, to the image of her sobbing uncontrollably on the stairs, and to what she had said.

She’d spent a hundred million on herbs for him.

His heart grew heavy. He’d been blind at the time.

But why would Natalie lie to him about it?

Sebastian picked up his phone and called his grandmother.

“Hello? Grandma, it’s me.”

“Well, well! Look who it is. I thought it might be some heartless rogue. What do you want with this old woman?”

Sebastian was speechless. His grandmother was clearly still upset about his divorce from Natalie. She had always adored her.

“Grandma, I wanted to ask you… was it really you who found the doctor to treat my eyes back then?”

Mrs. Spencer Sr. knew instantly that he was starting to suspect the truth. Natalie had never wanted him to know.

But the truth was, Natalie had been the one to save him.

“No, it wasn't. I'm an old woman. When the Griffith family was on the brink of bankruptcy, I was too busy trying to salvage the company to pay you any mind. It was Natalie. She was the one who saved you.”

“She knew you had feelings for Joanna and was afraid you’d feel burdened by the truth, so she made me promise not to tell you.”

“Now that you’ve kicked her out for that other woman, you might as well pretend you don’t know. And don’t you dare go looking for her. Don't dirty her sight with your presence.”

“I imagine that whenever Natalie sees you now, all she can think about is how you tortured her for Joanna, and even the air around you must feel contaminated.”
