Boris hesitated, and Sebastian stopped walking, his sharp gaze fixed on him. “Who is it?”
Boris shook his head. “We haven’t identified Q&N Collective’s new design director yet, but their official website has already made an announcement. They stated that Ms. Young has left the company, taking with her the autumn design plans and internal trade secrets. They’ve already filed for patents and restructured everything in record time. A second announcement followed, saying a new design director has been appointed and for everyone to stay tuned.”
In other words, Verna’s value had plummeted.
Q&N Collective was mysterious and ruthlessly efficient. Their net profit last year had reached sixty million dollars. In the fashion industry, while they couldn’t compare to the Griffith Group’s high-end luxury brands, they were a formidable player among small and medium-sized enterprises.
Sebastian was surprised. They had never been able to identify the company’s owner. “Find out who Q&N Collective’s new design director is.”
“Yes, sir,” Boris said with a nod.
The office door opened to reveal a stylishly dressed woman sitting inside. She was tall, with striking, beautiful features. Seeing Sebastian enter, she stood with a bright smile, her long legs seeming to glow. The undisguised admiration in her eyes was fixed on his captivating presence.
“Mr. Griffith, hello. I’m Verna.” The Griffith Group had poached her with an offer that doubled her previous salary, but she knew the pressure here would be immense.
Sebastian gave a slight nod, his tone detached. “The company already knows about the trade secrets you took. Aside from the design sketches you have, the rest is useless. Report to the fashion design department on the twelfth floor.”
Verna was taken aback. So he’d seen the announcement too. Q&N Collective worked fast. The moment she was out the door, they had found her replacement. She was dying to know who the woman was. She had already asked a friend in her old department, who had sent her a photo.
“Mr. Griffith, this is the new design director. Could you help me look into her?” Verna held out her phone, the screen displaying a photo.
Sebastian glanced at it, and his brow furrowed in shock, his gaze locking onto the image. “Are you sure it’s her?”
