But a year from now, when the Spencer family fell, all the hidden powers would emerge at once. Natalie didn’t reveal too much. In these powerful families, no one was simple. It was better to offer help from a distance, keeping her own path clear. In this new life, she could only see glimpses of the future. She had to be careful.
From now on, she would not interfere in the happiness of others. She would only focus on making herself happier.
Dinner was a pleasant affair. Afterward, Marshall took his grandmother home, while Natalie waited by the road for Luna.
Instead, two familiar bodyguards approached her. Natalie frowned. If they were here, Sebastian must be nearby.
As expected, a familiar luxury car pulled up. Natalie’s eyes flashed with anger. It was him.
“Ma’am, the president wants you to get in the car. He says you’ve been away for four months. It’s time to stop playing around and come home.”
The word “ma’am” made Natalie scoff. “Morgan, didn’t you used to call me Ms. Sanders? Stick with that. Don’t disgust me with this ‘ma’am’ nonsense.”
Morgan bowed his head, not daring to speak, but maintained his respectful posture. Natalie knew he was just following orders and didn’t want to make things difficult for him.
“Go tell Sebastian we’re divorced. Tell him to get lost.”
