Assistant Shaw kicked off his worn slippers, letting them fall to the floor before slipping on his shoes.
"Cousin…"
The silence in the room lasted only a heartbeat before a blood-curdling scream shattered it.
"Aaah—!"
Dominic's face was devoid of emotion as he slowly brought his foot down onto the man's hand, grinding it mercilessly against the floor.
"Tell me. Who contacted you?"
The man, shaking with pain, forced out a reply.
"It was Mr. Holloway, of course—"
His words were cut short by another jolt of agony as Dominic pressed harder, making him groan through clenched teeth.
Dominic finally lifted his foot, eyes narrowing as he glanced at the dislocated fingers now twisted at unnatural angles. He arched a brow, his voice cool and detached.
"What was that? I didn't quite catch it."
The man lying on the floor was deathly pale, the pain in his hand so intense he could barely move.
"It was Mr. Holloway. He… he'll make you pay for this," he spat out, still trying to sound tough.
Dominic's lips curled into a cold, mocking smile. Without a word, he kicked the man squarely in the chest.
The man's breath caught as he doubled over, gasping on the floor for several long moments. Just as he managed to suck in a shaky breath, Assistant Shaw stepped forward and delivered another hard kick.
The man nearly passed out from the blow.
"You—!"
Before he could recover, Assistant Shaw kicked him again, each strike harder than the last.
"All right, I'll talk, I'll—!"
