Caroline’s POV
I shuffled through another stack of paperwork at the kitchen table. Being Luna of Storm Valley Pack involved way more administrative work than I’d ever imagined. My laptop showed three new emails from pack members requesting assistance with various issues. I sighed and glanced at the clock - barely noon.
Rory stirred restlessly within me. "We should go for a run later."
"Maybe," I whispered back, stretching my arms overhead.
Though I’d embraced my role as Luna, part of me missed the corporate world. The structured meetings, clear deadlines, it had been my element for years. Now my days revolved around pack ceremonies, dispute mediation, and community planning.
Just yesterday, I’d spent hours helping three newly shifted teenagers prepare for their formal adult recognition ceremony.
"You’re doing important work here," I reminded myself, closing my laptop.
The daycare center project consumed most of my afternoon. Storm Valley Pack needed proper childcare facilities. I’d been reviewing building plans and safety regulations for weeks.
"Luna Caroline?" A young woman knocked on my door frame. "The contractor has questions about the daycare blueprints."
After resolving yet another construction issue, I flopped onto the couch, exhaustion washing over me. Liam was with my parents for the day, giving me time to tackle my Luna duties.
My phone buzzed with a video call from Draven.
"Hi, mommy!" His cheerful voice came through the phone, along with that irresistible one-finger-on-chin pose I loved.
"Hi, daddy," I replied playfully. "Miss me already?"
"Every second. My mate, shall we have dinner tonight? Just you and me."
My heartbeat quickened. "That’s unexpected. Special occasion?"
"Just wanting time alone with my beautiful wife." His voice deepened possessively.
"I like that idea."
"So that’s a yes?"
"That’s a definite yes." I smiled widely.
"Perfect. See you tonight."
Excitement bubbled through me. A night out with my mate, no pack business or parental responsibilities - exactly what we needed.
That evening, Draven took me to Golden Petal, an elegant restaurant with ambient lighting and excellent wine. When dessert arrived, he asked the waiter to pack it for takeout and bring the check.
"Taking dessert to go?" I teased, sipping the last of my wine.
"How could I forget, Alpha Draven?" I played along, settling back into the couch.
"I’m bringing it back," Draven smirked, taking a bite of cake before sliding a large white bag toward me.
Inside was a box containing various sexy lingerie pieces in different styles and colors.
"Don’t get attached to any of them," he warned, feeding me a piece of cake. "I plan to ruin every single pair."
Two could play this game. I selected a red lace thong with "hot" in metallic letters across the back and rhinestone trim along the sides. I stood deliberately, placing myself on the coffee table before him. Slowly, I slid the panties over first one foot, then the other. When I stood to pull them up my thighs, I noticed Draven’s breathing had changed. His eyes burned with desire, and his arousal was evident beneath his pants.
As I reached to lower my dress, he caught my wrist.
"Not yet," he commanded softly. "Show me how they look first."
"Of course, Alpha," I responded, turning slowly to give him the full view before facing him again.
"Perfect," he growled, pulling me onto his lap to straddle him.
Draven traced my nipple through the fabric of my dress before giving it a gentle bite. I moaned as heat pooled between my legs, my core pressing against his hardness. Every movement created delicious friction, making me desperate for more.
"That day, I didn’t finish what we started," Draven chuckled, his voice husky with desire. "I wanted you to beg, but instead you sat in front of me pleasuring yourself, making my cock nearly burst through my pants. But tonight, I’m going to finish what we started, and we’ll do it again and again—we have the whole night!"
