After work, Isabella felt a little discomfort in her stomach. Looking at the calendar, she realized her period was coming soon. She didn't have many sanitary pads left at home, so she decided to stop by the mall first.

It had been a while since she'd gone shopping, and now that she was, it felt like there was a lot to buy, like facial cleanser, underwear, shampoo, and some snacks. The housekeepers would bring fruits every day, but there weren't any treats. She figured she'd get a few to enjoy while binge-watching shows at night.

As she was browsing, her eyes caught a familiar piece of clothing in the store next door, one that looked like it was already in her wardrobe.

Since marrying Theodore, he somehow figured out her measurements and bought her a whole pile of clothes. But she always felt they were too flashy and impractical for work, so she never wore any of them. Now, seeing the same style in this store sparked her curiosity, so she walked inside.

The sales associates gave her a quick once-over and stayed put. From her outfit, they assumed she couldn't afford this brand or wouldn't splurge on clothes here.

She walked over to the dress and picked it up. As she reached for the tag to check the price, one sales associate finally approached.

"Excuse me, miss, would you like to try it on? This dress costs 18 thousand dollars. I can bring it to the fitting room for you, and if it fits, we can wrap it up."

The sales associate took the dress from her hand, clearly intending to personally guide Isabella to the fitting room. Though she spoke gently, Isabella caught the hidden implication in her tone.

Her fingers froze midair. When she looked up, she noticed the sales associate's eyes briefly glance at her cheap office blouse, as if calculating whether it could cover even a fraction of the dress' cost.

She didn't get angry, just smiled faintly. "It's fine. I just wanted to see the tag. 18 thousand dollars? This looks pretty ordinary. I didn't expect it to be that expensive."

The sales associate's smile froze for half a second. She gripped the dress tightly as if afraid Isabella would snatch it. "Miss, this is part of our haute couture collection, and the fabric is delicate. It's best not to touch it if you're not trying it on."

Isabella laughed out loud. She hadn't expected a scene from a soap opera to happen to her in real life. So it was true that a salesperson would really look down on people like this.

She looked around and asked, "What's the name of this store?"

The sales associate rolled her eyes. "Vellichor! We're the most prestigious luxury brand in Solara! Didn't you know that?"

The store was empty besides Isabella. The other sales associates, quietly watching, snickered mockingly.
